Bella Roma Beckenham - Italian Restaurant — Restaurant in London

We came here this evening to celebrate my boyfriend's 21st birthday and it was absolutely amazing. We go to the Lewisham branch regularly however, we saw the new branch was open and had to try it out.

To start, the service from our waitress Ulker was outstanding. She was extremely attentive and gave friendly but professional service. We had a lot of laughs with her and she made our experience outstanding. We ended up ordering the Tuna Tartar and the King prawns to start which were tasty, had amazing flavour and really hit the spot. The seafood Linguine is our go to and what we always ordered at the Lewisham branch, this branch did not disappoint and dare I say was better. We were so full by the end of our meal but had to try out their Tiramisu, it was so creamy and the cake was fluffy. Highly recommend these dishes if you come to Bella Roma.

Moving on to Simone (hope this is spelt correct). This is the amazing bartender at Bella Roma Beckenham, he has made an outstanding cocktail menu that we knew we had to try. We ended up ordering a bottle of the Sauvignon Blanc which was delightful but then we moved onto cocktails. We ordered the Whiskey Sour twice as it was absolutely amazing and also tried the Mai Tai's (they were served in Tiki glasses). He also came over to our table to check on us and suggested the Merengue Sour. We could not recommend this cocktail more! It was packed with a mango and passionfruit flavour and topped with a Merengue cream. 100% have never had a signature cocktail as good as this. He is a highly skilled bartender with great knowledge.

Finally, Leo. He is the owner of the Bella Roma branches and we have met him many times at the Lewisham branch. As it was my boyfriend's 21st birthday and he recognised us he brought us over a glass of bubbles that elevated our evening (also their glasses are beautiful). After that we had a lovely conversation bonding over his previous branch, it's amazing to see his business succeed and hope this review adds to that. He was so friendly and gave us both a hug goodbye which added to the experience.

Overall, Bella Roma is the most authentic and aesthetic Italian food you will find in London. The care to service and the quality of food cannot be faulted. All of the staff were amazing and made my boyfriend's birthday the best he's had. We could not recommend this restaurant more. As an Italian chef, I don't often go to Italian restaurants, both because I enjoy trying other types of cuisine and because it's very difficult to find a good Italian restaurant abroad. This time, however, I made an exception, because rumors were circulating that the food at this restaurant was very good, and almost all the dishes were traditional Italian. I chose a Monday because I think it's the least busy day of the week and I could have expected better service and food. We arrived at the restaurant and were immediately greeted by the restaurant manager, who seated us at a table inside. The atmosphere was welcoming, with just enough light to make the space bright yet romantic. The decor was well-decorated, almost minimalist, but made special by some paintings reminiscent of Italy. Everything was absolutely clean and tidy, every waiter was always at his post, everything was impeccable. Coincidentally, from my table, I could see a section of the kitchen where five chefs were running around non-stop. It was fantastic, each had a different task, they were all synchronized, and all the dishes coming out were the same. There must have been a great team leader in there!!! Like true Italians, we ordered a full seafood menu, from starter to dessert. All the dishes were perfect, well-crafted, and the flavors were brought out to their full potential. Of course, I know the taste of Mediterranean fish, and unfortunately, I can't expect it to be the same, but it was still the best meal I've ever had in London at an Italian restaurant. The manager and waiters were impeccable, especially the girl with the blue hair. :-). The welcome prosecco was appreciated, and the bread and tiramisu were excellent. A Perfect Anniversary Lunch at Bella Roma, Beckenham

We celebrated our 21st wedding anniversary with lunch at Bella Roma in Beckenham, and once again, it was nothing short of exceptional. This place never fails to impress us — it truly is our go-to restaurant for special occasions, and for good reason.
