Went there last night. Was excited as I had heard good things. Before I got there I went onto the website to see the menu when I came across 'this weeks specials'
When making my order I asked for the prawn linguine (which was on the specials). When I mentioned the specials, the waiter told me that is wrong and he knew nothing about it. I then showed him the website and he said as he works there he would know about it and as he didnt, that is not the price. When I asked why is it on the website, he said he dont know and he will speak to his manager and come back to us. That was the last time that subject was mentioned. There was no sign of the manager or any feedback what so ever. But yet when I asked about another dish (that was not on the main menu) he was able to tell me about this. Bit of a contradiction
Having gone back on the website today, I have noticed that 'This weeks special' has now been removed
Based on this customer service, I wouldn't be in a rush to go back. If I did, it wouldn't be my choice. Considering we was the only people in the restaurant, I found the service to be quite slow also.
The only reason I give this a two star rather than one, is because the food is ok.... I have had better... but I have...
Read moreVisited AYAT for a friends birthday. Hospitality was excellent and customer service was very good.
I had calamari for my starter which I found to be very bland and lacked taste. I felt it had more batter than actually Calamari on the inside. I had a Mixed Grill for my main and to be honest, I wasn't very impressed with the meal or the portion size. The Mix Grill had to much garnish ontop and I found the meat serving to be quiet small. I think for a Mix Grill chicken wings could be added.
I also didn’t like the fact that sachets sauces instead of a bottle were used on the table. It was very annoying having to keep asking for more sachets 🤦🏽♀️.
I feel that service to our table was a little bit slow and had to ask the waiter if she could take our finished plates up.
The restaurant inside was very nice, spacious and clean. The Shisha section at the back of the restaurant was great and I love the fact that you are allowed to bring your own alcohol to the restaurant 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽😅.
Not sure I would visit here again to eat, but the staff were lovely and I love the fact that fresh juices...
Read moreBeen to Ayat a couple times now had the chance to try both the shisha and food. Both are absolutely incredible.
Clean and smooth shisha every time. The food was to die for. I had the mixed grill; each meat was tender and flavoursome. My cousin had the moussaka the sauce was delicious and moorish.
The atmosphere is amazing with great tunes ranging from the current UK grime and hip-hop to the Middle Eastern/North African with the same feel, great vibe a really chill spot to say the least. It’s especially great when the weather’s good and they take the roof off in the lounge.
To top it all off all the staff are very hospitable, the ownership are very friendly and immensely accommodating.
Couldn’t recommend this place more, it really blows other shisha lounges in the area out of the water.
Surprising is the price point, you’d honestly expect to pay 30% than you actually do. Despite that you can tell they spare no expense from the coals to the meat and everything in between.
I’d definitely say go for a Moroccan mint tea and some baklava with your shisha to...
