Dear Post Office Team,
I’m writing to raise a serious concern regarding a missing YubiKey pendrive that I attempted to send from your branch on Saturday, 21st June 2025 at 14:48 (Session: 3-51140).
Until now, I’ve never experienced issues with this location. However, I’ve recently noticed many of my neighbours prefer other post offices in Croydon—and after this experience, I understand their reasoning.
During my visit, I received conflicting advice from staff regarding which envelope to use. I was first advised to use the smallest padded envelope, but was then told the item was too light and should go in a larger one with added bubble wrap. There was further discussion about whether I should use Special Delivery. I explained that I was returning a security device to a company, and your staff selected what they believed to be the appropriate tracked service.
On Wednesday, the company contacted me to report that the envelope had arrived fully sealed and undamaged, but the YubiKey was missing.
I returned to the branch and spoke with a couple of employees, but they were dismissive. One briefly checked a desk area and told me that nothing had been seen or reported.
I am convinced the YubiKey may have been accidentally left behind, perhaps placed in the wrong envelope or missed during packing.
Due to the nature of the item, the receiving company is urgently requesting its return for security and data protection reasons and may pursue compensation. This matter must be taken seriously.
I’m asking that the responsible manager at this branch investigate thoroughly, including reviewing any internal CCTV or logs on Saturday, 21st June 2025 at 14:48 (Session: 3-51140). Please respond with a reference number and a clear plan of action.
I truly hope you value customer experience. If so, I kindly ask that you include a direct contact number in your response so we can speak further, should that be necessary.
I look forward to your reply and hope we can resolve this...

I was in the queue and it was my turn to be served None of the other tills were free and her till lit up. She completely ignored me for whatever reason and motioned to the lady behind me to come over twice.
I was puzzled and felt embarrassed by the awkwardness and had to wave at her and ask if I should come over to which she replied "Yh here or wherever you want". I was just speechless. I did not want to create a scene but this is the first time ever I have had such a shocking treatment from a post officer worker in my life and it completely ruined my day. I worked in retail and I would be fired on the spot if I ever treated a customer in such a way. Now I do not want to jump to conclusions why I was treated this way but I am a bearded Asian man and the lady behind me was English.
This is simply unacceptable and she needs to be made aware and given a warning for this. I was almost about to ask her if I should go to another till. Way to make your customer feel welcome Royal Mail! You hire trash like this and they treat people however they want. I hope someone ruins her day in a similar way. Completely disgusted after this. She should be ashamed of herself.
This is THE worst experience I have ever had in my entire life when using a service. It was very humiliating to be in a queue of around 35+ people and to be treated in such a manner. My blood was boiling but I kept my cool and remained civilized. This cannot happen in 2019. You ned to either retrain your staff or replace them with more...
Read moreVery Bad experience I've been using the same post office for many years now never had bad experience ever its just today there was this guy jay sitting by biometric counter the post office closing timing is 5:30 i was inside the building 4:45 was waiting in the wrong queue as i thought there is only 1 queue so it might be inappropriate for me to start another queue in front of biometric counter. anyways someone told me for biometric you need to wait there this queue is for postings etc when i went to biometric counter jay was taking someone else's biometric and he was watching he could've said to me that the counter is closed and could've saved my more time from wasting but he decided to be himself and not provide customer service so customer could go and come back later however when he cleared the previous person from biometric he just left his chair and ignored me completely like i was air. i find it quite offensive and racist. the guy next to him on duty said to him why don't you serve him and i was shocked by his response he said i would serve anybody but not him. what ?? this is so bad and definitely I'm going to complain this guy in HR for sure so post office could take action against it. the post office timings are 5:30 and its mean you can use any service inside the post office before 5:30 i checked on google on post office website before visiting them i checked their timings and services they offers there wasn't anything mentioned regarding specific service are offered between specific timings. this is completely absurd. i hope post office look into this matter and will make sure this won't happened with any other...
