Bagatti's Italian — Restaurant in London

Before I came Disabled I used to Love taking My Family Friends to The Best Italian restaurant I’ve ever been to, it’s not just amazing food Italian food you will ever taste you will ever taste, it’s also not just the owner and his family but also the amazing team he has running this Awsome amazing restaurant, anyway because one thing and another I’ve not been here for so long, but discovered tonight that they deliver 0MJ no joke is the best meal I’ve had since I can’t remember, I’ve always recommended this place to all my friends and family And never ever have I had nothing but upmost compliments about This Best Italian restaurant you will ever ever find and It’s 100% Must to Go here has the Buzz and Ambience that is in this total Gem and You will Not Find a More Awsome Front of House from the Main Man Him Self that try’s to Greet all his Customers to his Amazing Team , That some how even when it used to be totally packed you never wait more then a few seconds and nothing is ever to Much for them , And I can Now Say it’s Most Awsome Take Away Delivery you will ever have , Has our Meal tonight was bye far the Best delivery we’ve ever had !!!! And Honestly out of 10 I truly would give them honestly out of 10 I truly would give them 15 and I could Spend all night righting how Awsome Our Dinner was from Starters to Desert and you will not Belive the price and I truly don’t know how they can deliver Such high quality Meals at a low rate and I’ve always told them they need to Cut down on the size of their portions as you really do get a Massive plate full of total delight !!!! Can Not Thank Yous yet again for Such a great Meal and still in shock that Yous can manage to deliver Such high Quality Meal as I used to Get when Eatting in The Best Italian Italian Ever , But Truly cannot wait Until this Dam Virus does One and We get Back to being able to Enjoy the Best Italian food and Ambience Ever !!! Aw Excuse The Pizza photo has this was Down to A Get away Driver, Driving a 1,500CC mopped for Uber delivery who must of hit every Speed hump and then Passing Me My daughters pizza up Side down I kid you Not , But In all fairness he did tell Me before we even opened and discovered this Mess that Bagatti's Also deliver them Selfs , and I’ve Not Spoken to Bagatti's As this really is down to Uber , But I Strongly do Not recommend Uber as they So hit and Miss and when ever we use them we really do take Bets if our Food will be how it should Be or Totally Destroyed like My Daughter Pizza Mess ( excuse the Pune ) and to Top it Off They also delivered totally Wrong Pizza has wanted Margarita and this mess turned up with everything and I mean every think that My daughter hates on it from Mushrooms to peppers and where still waiting a answer from Uber , But I will definitely let Bagatti's Now about this Toal Mess up in every Sense !!! But 100% do Not let this reflect on Bagatti's Has I can say with out doubt they would Not of done this and I know that would resolved this straight away , but also from Me ordering From Uber it’s up to them to resolve they Total Meds up !!!! And I know with out any doubt when I talk to Bagatti's They will resolve this has I’ve said and Know for a Fact it’s The Best Italian restaurant you will ever go to Or get a delivery from but do not use Uber I cannot Stress this enough and I will never ever use Uber for Food delivery ever again has this has got Be 4th time we’ve had such Mess turn up From Uber Eats Stunt Delivery services 😖😖😖!!! But for Bagatti's Italian you get 100% 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 Has Yous are by far the Best Italian food and restaurant Ever Fact and Thank Yous For Most amazing Meal...

We arrived at 2:15pm (15 mins before our booking time at 2:30pm).

The restaurant was relatively empty on arrival. We placed our orders (1 pizza and 1 crab filled pasta) at 2:30pm but didn’t receive this until 3:15pm??!

At no point did a member of staff communicate, or apologise for the extremely long wait (baring in mind the restaurant was relatively empty). A couple that arrived after us received their meals before us.

When the first meal finally arrived (the pizza) the manager said: “The first pizza wasn’t made correctly, hence why the wait.”

This excuse after almost 40+ minutes is highly unacceptable.

We may have been understanding and prepared to wait longer if this was simply communicated prior.

The crab filled pasta arrived shortly after, took the first bite and immediately felt a hard, sharp crunch on my tooth… There was a piece of crab shell inside the pasta.

I immediately spat it out and called for the waiters attention.

I told him there’s a piece of crab shell in my pasta that’s stabbed my tooth and asked why this is in the meal?!

The waiter wasn’t initially apologetic, didn’t ask if I was okay, or if first aid was needed, but took the meal and went over to the kitchen counter to enquire. I followed him to the counter to ask about the meal and all the chef could say was: “It’s from the crab mix” then proceeded to show me the mixture instead of providing a swift solution.

Again, this is highly unacceptable, especially as it contains choking hazards that was not stated on the menu.

In the unfortunate case of choking, whether it be an adult or small child, this would not be in the best interest for Baggati’s Italian restaurant.

To conclude, no sincere apology or immediate care was offered despite the major inconvenience.

The manager apathetically asked if I wanted something else from the menu and that it would be made quickly, but at this point, all trust was lost for this restaurant.

We were hungry, fed up and not potentially prepared to wait another 40+ minutes for food that is not quality checked for sharp pieces.

I asked for the bill to pay for the drinks only, to which the manager said we don’t have to pay. Then we left.

We felt very disappointed as we wanted a nice Italian lunch from a restaurant that was recommended to us.

Baggati’s Italian prides itself in serving the finest Italian food with over 27+ years’ experience, but basic customer service and food quality assurance lacked here.

Unfortunately, we won’t be returning, or recommending this restaurant to others. We ended up going to Wagamama’s down the road...

We've now been to Bagattis twice. The food is good the service is not. We have had issue with service on both occasions.

Our first visit we waited 40 minutes for a dessert that states on the menu we should allow up to 20 minutes for. After waiting for 40 minutes and asking where the dessert was we were told it says on the menu it takes up to 20 minutes. Once I pointed out we had been waiting for twice that the dessert magically appeared. Either the dessert was just sat in the kitchen, or they gave us one prepared for another table.

On our second visit we were waiting for over an hour for our main courses and when we asked where they were we were told they had lost the ticket so the food had not been made, we eventually did get our mains and an apology. Fast forward to dessert and we were bought the wrong desserts. When we were finally bought the correct desserts, one of them was missing, eventually we did end up with the correct desserts, and another apology.

When I asked for the bill, which we also struggled to get, I asked for the service charge to be removed and the waiter had the audacity to ask why! Firstly it's discretionary, I shouldn't have to tell you why. Secondly you've had to apologise to the table about your shocking service twice, you should not be asking why we are removing the service charge. This is a prime example of why these automatic service charges really need to go away. The expectation that customers will automatically pay an additional charge for shocking service is ridiculous!

The reason I am giving 2 stars and not 1 is because when it does get to your table the food is actually pretty good. Unfortunately everything is just let down by...
