🚇 Cannonbury 🍺 £4.90 Becks ❤️ I have come across some excellent and innovative pubs recently on my travels around London and here at @thebeboppub the excellence continues. This was my last pub on a crawl from Finsbury Park and the only one on my crawl I hadn’t visited before. Prior to visiting I wasn’t sure what to expect, The Bebopalula conjured up all sorts of thoughts and images of what the pub would be like. . As you enter the pub the first thing that strikes you is the amazing decor. The walls are covered with pictures of American music greats from James Brown to Elvis Presley. There are neon signs, guitars and even a bike hanging from the ceiling. The atmosphere in here is hard to explain, is was lively but felt chilled at the same time. There was footy on the box (on mute) and Marvin Gaye was playing in the background at the same time which was very harmonious for the varied punters who were in attendance. One great way to measure a pubs success is who the pub attracts and how to keep everyone happy, well here they manage that part really well. The pub was fairly busy with people from all walks of life, some local characters, one of which had a proper Sid James laugh which made me chuckle, also a mix of young and old from all backgrounds enjoying this wonderful boozer. Hats off also for the drink and food options, I had a decent pint of Becks for under a fiver and you can get a roast dinner in here on Sundays for 12 quid. . The Bebopalula is run by the same team that run the award winning Alma in Newington Green, so I shouldn’t have been surprised by the great experience I had here. This is a pub that looks after its locals and welcomes in one and all with open arms. I can’t recommend this pub highly enough. . 📊 Information correct on visiting 09/10/21
