Northwick Park is a large green public park between Harrow and Kenton in northwest London, forming part of the London Borough of Brent. Most of the park consists of playing fields.[1] It is also the name of the electoral ward of Brent that covers the park, the area around its namesake station, and most of North Wembley. The park was originally an estate as part of Sheepcote Farm in the manor of Harrow, and named after its lord, Northwick. The Middlesex County Council acquired 192 acres of land in the 1930s to plant trees and create a landscape to the existing hedges. The amount of public open space has since diminished, partly due to the building of Northwick Park Hospital, a major NHS hospital.[2] Later in 2006, a major privately owned golf course called Playgolf Northwick Park was opened,[3] which has been voted number one 9-hole golf course in the UK in 2009 by National Golfers Magazine. Until World War II, there was a previous golf course there at the land now covered by the Harrow campus of the University of...

I love this park. It's beautiful, a large space where sport can be played in good weather as well as a shortcut for many people from their places of abode to either Northwick Park Hospital or the Station as well as other locations around it. At one end of the park are brand new exercise equipments for the fitness guru but I'm sure that will be more appealing during the summer period. There a pathways at the periphery for those who want to walk their dogs or just have a play time with them. At both ends of the park, 2 stations can be found: Northwick Park Station for the Metropolitan and South Kenton Station For the London Underground...

we played on pitch 2 - the worst pitch i have played on - there where big holes in the ground right in the path of bowler’s run up - and that was just the start - the whole of the ground was riddled with holes - and these holes where more dangerous as they where covered with thick grass - so you only came to know about them once you step in it and trip - my team mate got his hamstring muscle pulled due to one such pot hole - also the club house was a tight 2 minutes walk with nothing nearer to even use as cover for your gear...

A lovely park. Just went for a walk, took time out while working from home. Only thing I would say the walking path is really narrow, I joined the entrance from the South Kenton station end. Nonetheless it was a dry day so walking on the grass was fine as it wasn't muddy.

Nice open spaces. Needs better maintenance and better paths. Helpful access directly to Northwick park hospital. Well connected to Northwick park Station and south kenton Station on the metropolitan and bakerloo lines respectively. Worth a visit on a sunny day.
