Bodrum Kitchen — Restaurant in London

Since reopening this restaurant has improved it's decor. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for the food. We ate here 2 weeks ago and the food was average and reasonably priced. I went there specifically to try lahmacun but was told they hadn't started serving this dish yet. This evening however, we noticed on their uber eats menu that lahmacun was now available. We Just ordered a lahmacun for the first time from Bodrum Kitchen since it closed for refurbishing by new owners. Unfortunately, the lahmacun was awful. Not an authentic turkish lahmacun. In fact, it is very likely that the flat bread (which was way too thick) may have been bought ready made and just heated up in an oven. I'm turkish and have been eating lahmacun since childhood. This one did not resemble a lahmacun and is the worst I have ever tasted. I'm really disappointed. This place used to prepare, cook and sell good lahmacun since 2001. Food was just ok. Pricier than most of the other places around - deliveroo prices are also approximately 25% higher than the in-store menu and that was with a deal that knocked 20% of entire menu. For example, £7.50 or an Ezme and that was with 20%off.

Purchased fish skewer with 1 prawn and a skewer sized portion of salmon, tuna and swordfish (served with cold mash and a pretty standard but nice salad). For the price of £20 I don’t feel ripped off but it certainly wasn’t value for money.

Staff were very lovely as always. However there wasn't items on their menu available, and when a platter was supposed to be served with mash they forgot the mash, and then stated there was no mash and then offered chips after the platter was served. This should have been advised before hand and other options made available as a replacement. I only had the vegetarian Musaka so I can't comment on other food but that needed more attention to flavours.
