WOW! Disappointed doesnāt even cut it. The people who scored the food highly at Crave need to re-evaluate what it takes to be able to consider something āAuthenticā. I recently ordered the Curry goat and rice, a salt fish fritter and mac and cheese. Iāll start with the Curry Goat. Flavour-less! I am Jamaican and passionate about Jamaican/ West Indian cuisine, so instead of just dissing the food and saying it wasnāt good, I will go into the specifics. There were some major ingredients missing from the curry goat; one of them being THYME, one of them being PIMENTO and a really obvious one, SCOTCH BONNET, not to mention the lack of presence of ONIONS. It honestly was just bland. Also, the meat was not tender which means one of two things; it either hadnāt been cooked for long enough or the meat was old. Let me be 100% honest; I could have forgiven the chewy meat if it had all the flavours it was supposed to have. Next Iāll move on to the salt fish fritter. The salt fish fritter was anaemic looking; absolutely no colour. Once again there were major ingredients missing like FRESH PEPPERS, SPRING ONIONS and definitely NO PAPRIKA (hence the reason the fritter was the same complexion as the white rice.) Fish fritters shouldnāt need the addition of dipping sauce to make it enjoyable; it should be flavoursome enough to eat exactly as it is. Lastly, the Mac and Cheese...................... (Takes deep breath) The pasta used was not Macaroni WTF!!!!!! why oh why oh why would you do this? It was some sort of spiral shaped pasta. If you are going to put Mac and Cheese on your menu, please use Macaroni! In addition to the wrong type of pasta being used, there was once again absolutely NO FLVAVOR in the damn thing. It was a solid block of pasta with a bit of grated cheese on the top. There was no cheese in the inside of the mass and no other ingredients that would solicit any other flavour. Seriously, take this feedback as constructive criticism. As a Jamaican and purely as a customer, I should be begging you to give me your secret recipes for all of your dishes. Instead, I was just annoyed that I didnāt make it myself as I would have done a much better job at it. Let me end this review by making something abundantly clear. The harshness in my review was not designed to put others off from ordering, it was designed to get Crave as a Caribbean restaurant to majorly step their game up. YOU NEED TO DO BETTER! YOUR FOOD SIMPLY ISNāT...
Read moreI WISH IT WAS POSSIBLE TO GIVE MINUS 10 STARS. Horrendous food and the most TERRIBLE SERVICE possibly even the WORST CARIBBEAN FOOD EVER. To start I made an order over the phone. The woman who took my order sounded so disinterested and bored that I wanted to hang up, but we were all very hungry so I proceeded. To start the girl messed up my order twice on the phone and they didn't have half of the items that are advertised on their menu, no fish no fresh juices no punches etc etc ..... (that should have been around the 2nd or 3rd red flag about this place ) finally she managed to get my order correct then she hangs up . and I have to call her back because I've spent well over £60 and tell her my name and to add that to the order. I finally get there and as I walk in there were 2 screaming children making the most amount of loud noise and this place is not big, you would expect children to stop screaming or running wild whilst there are PAYING CUSTOMERS IN THE STORE the little girl then let out this blood curdling scream as if she was either in the greatest pain or fear, and no one said anything. Then the lady who took my order tells he how she forgot to charge me for some coleslaw, not extra coleslaw, no, the one that is supposed to come with the meal (whatever at this point I just need to get my food and go home) to finally get there and find out that they have messed up my order. CRAVE RESTAURANT IS THE PERFECT EXAMPLE OF WHY PEOPLE DONT BUY OR SAY THEY DONT LIKE CARIBBEAN FOOD .....I always try and support these establishments but food and service like this (which is all too often the case with a lot of these type of establishments that I have tried )the food was old. Old rice and old chicken that had sauce slapped on top and reheated, the staff are disinterested and difficult. Then u go in there and u might be lucky if ur not deafened by screaming children. They have made me never want to buy Caribbean food in England ever again. It is not difficult to make fresh Caribbean food that tastes good, to make fresh juice or punches, that dosent cost a bomb. This establishment should be shut down until they get an owner who cares about food and cares about giving their customers the best...

Iāve been to Crrave in Leyton a few times now, and honestly, the food is nothing short of 11/10. Every single visit has been a flavour-packed experience, but the stars of the show for me have to be the Double Truffle Cheeseburger, the Crrave Daddy Burger, and the Truffle Chicken Burger ā absolute perfection.
The loaded fries and loaded tots are unmatched when it comes to flavour ā crispy, generously topped, and bursting with taste. That house sauce? It takes everything to another level. Pure magic.
During Ramadan, I placed a huge family order for iftar and I was genuinely impressed ā not a single item was missed, everything was cooked to perfection and tasted sublime. Itās rare to find a spot that handles large orders with such attention to detail.
Customer service is always on point too ā the staff are friendly, helpful, and genuinely care about your experience. Itās clear they take pride in what they do.
This place is a must-visit. Hands down one of the best burger, wings, and donner spots in the area....
