Boulangerie Jade — Restaurant in London

We waited outside for a table on a busy Saturday afternoon, we got a table ordered 2 espressos and a macchiato. 5 mins later my mum and sister joined us and ordered 2 more macchiatos and sat down. Over 10 mins later we received our initial 3 coffees. The espressos were lukewarm. I stood up to mention the lack of temperature and ask where the coffees my mum ordered were. The lady behind the counter said there were none and said 'what? The lady just shouted something at me I thought she was talking about those coffees' (pointing at the ones now on the table, which funnily enough did not contain 2 macchiatos). As it had been so long we said don't worry about the others we will just go and the lady said 'fantastic' in a rude and sarcastic manner

She never apologised for missing my mums order and didn't seem bothered we were leaving due to bad service

Busy on a Saturday afternoon and too many tables crammed in for people to move about comfortably. It was also VERY loud! Staff were self important. When I tried to place my order the girl behind the counter raised her and and told me to "wait" as she was too busy staring at the card machine. We drank our coffees, they tasted good but weren't hot enough, and ordered cake to go. The cake I ordered was £3.80 a slice! For the size of the slice that was left it seemed reasonable but then she cut it in half! I paid on card and was again told to wait as the card machine was playing up. I was then told my payment hadn't gone through and would have to pay again. Luckily my card is linked to my phone which showed the payment had worked! If I were to go again I would only order to take away and...

Disclaimer: the two staff working behind the counter were lovely. They were friendly, attentive and accommodating.

However a woman sat at one of the tables (presumably the owner) made the experience quite uncomfortable. Firstly, she was speaking openly, impersonally and rudely to the staff in front of us which immediately created an uneasy energy. Secondly, her dogs were splayed out across the floor, causing customers and staff to tiptoe around them with food and drinks. Thirdly, when we had ordered food, the staff behind the counter offered us a seat and said we could pay after, only to be interrupted (quite condescendingly) by the woman who said we had to pay now because “it is the rule”.
