BOXPARK Wembley — Restaurant in London

Update: Friends visited same issue with the very juvenile, exclusionary and rude behavior by the security team including their supervisor. And the venue staff were indifferent and rude when approached about it. And by the consistency of these issues across the reviews and generic responses by the management on here it's clear there's no interest addressing them. The only positives of the venue are through the contribution of guests ie the atmosphere and the food vendors.

Original review Exclusionary/discriminatory behavior from security staff, I was at this venue last night with friends and was let down by the experience. I went out to vape and stood out the front of the venue behind the barriers on the left as you come out(exit side). There were to security guys talking to a couple of females who were also behind the barriers smoking and were there before me. One of the security guys, a short, heavy set guy with a chin trap beard approached me to instruct me to leave the area and go to the balcony because there was no smoking there. To which I replied by pointing out the fact that the 2 females they're talking to are smoking, he said that's fine because they're chatting with them. I followed up by speaking to the bar staff and they advised I spoke with an older gentleman who apparently was the security supervisor. I did and he allegedly spoke to the security guys. When I was leaving there were even more people smoking in the same area behind the barrier. This made me feel targeted and singled out by the security guy outside and let down by the supervisory team. It's very disappointing to experience such a discriminatory behaviors in this day and age especially at a venue/brand that prides for its inclusivity. Looking at other reviews seems like security comes up as an issue often, that communicates appropriate action isn't taken by management and is an indicator of what they think of their customers as a result. Suffice to say I won't be returning...

Update from my Previous Review, in 2020 during the pandemic when I went to BOXPARK with a Couple of Friends to summarise I had an unpleasant experience especially to do with a unknown name Security Guard. But I often like to give Businesses a chance as mistakes happen and see if they've learned from it when you give your feedback/review. And I have to say since I started doing REBEL course in BOXPARK. I've had such a great time going there this week, from the friendly staff to the lovely new Security Guards have meet and of course 😀 my awesome Rebel Team and Coaches. I've been having the time of my life and I'm not even exaggerating. This has been a total 180° I can see there has been a lot of improvements and I'm so proud 👏 🥲 🥰 ✌️ of BOXPARK for turning things around so well. So far, I am thoroughly enjoying my time at the Rebel course in helping me regain my confidence and helping me to know the ins and out one on the journey of becoming self employed. I even got to perform a 3 Cover Songs 🎵 as I'm working towards becoming a Wedding Singer but also possible events. Which was very well received and everyone has been absolutely brilliant. Honestly, at times it feels like Heaven on Earth thanks to REBEL in BOXPARK. To anyone struggling or needs tips, advice and encouragement I would strongly recommend signing up to REBEL, it's totally free and it's so good. You can do so if you're on some kind of benefit as far as I'm aware whether you're working or not through Jobcenter or Eventbrite. BOXPARK thank you for the collaboration with REBEL has this has been absolutely fantastic. (Just one little improvement needed I would say is the lady Sanitary bin needs changing more often as it's given an unpleasant smell). Otherwise, keep up the great Work...

I'm only giving this one star for my latest experience. Today 17th of July, after came from a local store where I bought 2 boxes of chocolate ( sealed) I wanted to enter in box park to grab some food for me and my partner. The security "gentlemen" at the entrance didn't allow me to go inside with those products. I specified that are seated boxes and I just want to grab food and I also said that I am a resident, and his answer was " you can be also the president". I understood even if I was frustrated and went to make a delivery right outside the box park. Meanwhile while waiting, i saw the " gentlemen" letting other people with bags and backpacks going inside without even checking them. I asked him (also feeling frustrated) why he didn't check other people bags/purses/luggages and he told me not to talk to him. It let me with the impression that he is being selective and I was treated unfair. I asked him for a manager, and the first that I was redirected to was his colleague that told me that he was doing his job. I stated that doing his job is okay but being selective is not " doing your job" , specially when I am a resident Wembley Park and Quintain Living since quite a while. After a while I asked again for the manager, the real manager seems to came , I told him the story and all he did , he apologize, and left. I felt so frustrated and "selected".
