I brought 4 appliance from curryâs Wembley on the 15th may 2023 of which one of them being a free standing cooker (electric) flavel /beko. Ever since I have problem with the oven. At the beginning I thought maybe it the setting and etc however that was not the case. The oven does not cook evenly whether it baking or cooking. So on the 1st May I called curryâs and explain this problem to one of curryâs members who pass me on to someone else and like that I was pass on to 4 different member and had to explain myself to all those people without get any solution. Worst part was no one was communicating with each other therefore I had to explain the entire problem and purchase and address store code and etc with each person. Highly unprofessional behaviour.
Anyways I spoke to Beko and explain to them the problem that the Hob and grill works perfectly fine but the oven does not cook evenly burning the top layer. They said they will send an engineer to check it I did explain to them that I do not think it anything electrical problem as the rest of cooker is working but it just the oven. But they said they will have to send out an engineer before making any decisions and if they canât find any electrical fault then I will be charge ÂŁ55. So the engineer came on 4th May and check, and said there is no electrical fault however he does not know why the oven is not baking evenly, and also mentioned that some ovens are not for baking, to which I do not agree, as I have not paid ÂŁ419 for any display oven which I can not use.
I call beko again and they told me since the engineer didnât find any fault I have to paid ÂŁ55. To which he only leave me with one option is that I pay that engineer and they will book me another engineer to come and check my cooker again, maybe they could find fault and again if they donât find anything I will have to pay them ÂŁ55. which I refused as I will only pay if my issues get sorted I am not crazy to keep throwing money to people as these big companies scamming and traumatising customers, as they clearly know the outcome of it. So when I didnât agree to pay he told me to go back to curryâs as they can not do anything further.
Coming to the main problem since 5th May I have been talking to curryâs and I have been pass on to so many member which I have lost count to. And explaining say problem again again. All this process is exhausting and each person tell me different thing.
Then one of your which actually took time to understand what Iâm saying has suggested that she will book and engineer from curryâs and they come and check and if they canât fix the problem they will sign it as light off so I can get a replacement. However she was not able to book the engineer and ask me to go to the Wembley store and try to book it from there which is easier option.
So I when on the 6th May and explain everything again to the customer service desk and he wrote email to someone to investigate and said will get back to me on 9th. However I have not heard anything back and I tried calling Wembley branch but not possible and called curryâs customer and same pattern repeated and no one know anything disputed of me tell them to check the details on the system and you would understand but they tell me there is nothing on the system.
This is a joke such a big company and very under trained staff. As it been more than 2 weeks and I have no help or solutions whatsoever, honestly I have a feel they do this in purpose so the customer get so annoyed and just leave arguing and accept the rubbish that they have paid fortune for. Highly disappointed, at this rate I am not interested any further services beside getting a replacement or a return from curryâs as it been worse phase of my life dealing...
   Read moreVery dissapointing, annoying and negative experience in this store today. We went in to buy some headphones, and I'll start by the only positive I could find in which they have an ok range of product in store. However, the staff have an incredibly limited knowledge, but after speaking to three different people (and reading loads of reviews online) I finally found the correct headphones for me. I was about to purchase them, when I was told "there's a great offer on at the moment which allows me to buy now and pay over the next 6 months, interest free", which sounded great to me. My mum was purchasing this for me, so the shop assistant started asking her questions and asked if we had ID for this "offer". After taking all her details, she said we were rejected, we weren't sure why, and I offered to fill out the form with my details which also got rejected. It was only at this point she actually told us there was a THIRD PARTY financing company involved and the fact that we have tried and got it rejected will now lower our credit score. This was something I wasn't aware of, and upon saying I didn't know it would affect my score negatively she very carelessly said "well thats just common sense" which I found incredibly hurtful and rude. I dont deal with finance companies and I have no idea how they work, but I do know for sure neither me or my mum have ever got rejected in situations where credit score was needed and we have had no issues with credit score in the past. This whole encounter really annoyed me, not at all because i got rejected, but because she wasn't transparent about this "deal". It's not really even a deal! I wasn't told "if you're eligible you can get this" or "if your application gets approved" or "its not curry's that offers this, it's a third party finance company we send your details to" as i would not have even bothered as I don't like to deal with third party companies. I was told as a matter of fact that this deal existed on some items over a certain price.
I spoke to the manager about this encounter and the shop assistant, and his response was basically "thanks for letting us know the feedback, but we can't say if your application gets rejected or not" which showed he wasn't listening at all- I wasn't annoyed about getting rejected, it was that they weren't transparent enough to say I even had to apply for it. It was made out to sound like a deal anyone could walk in and get.
Just explain to customers from the beginning what they're potentially getting themselves into.
Im now gona buy the headphones from a different store as I didn't wanna fund this awful...

Unfortunately, it seems that some staff members are either uninterested or uncomfortable in their roles, and it really shows in their interactions with customers. If someone is not happy in a customer-facing role, it would be better for both the individual and the customers if they reconsidered their position. Customer service is a crucial aspect of any business, and I witnessed multiple instances where staff seemed irritated or dismissive when asked for help, particularly when customers, who were being polite and respectful, simply needed assistance in selecting a washing machine. The attitude was clearly unprofessional, and at times, almost hostile. I can understand that retail can be stressful, but that shouldnât translate into poor behavior towards customers. I genuinely believe that additional training is needed, not only in product knowledge but also in communication and basic customer care. There were moments where staff made offhand comments like, "Not this again," which is simply unacceptable in any customer service setting. What was even more concerning was the deflection of responsibility. One staff member, when approached for assistance, responded with something along the lines of, âYou canât say that to me,â which made it seem as though a complaint was being twisted into something personal, when in fact, no abuse had occurred. This sort of attitude only escalates tensions unnecessarily. I really hope that the management takes these concerns seriously and addresses the attitude and behavior of certain team members. If staff approach their job with the respect and courtesy expected of them, I am sure customers will reciprocate the same, creating a more positive environment...
