I had a terrible experience at this place! Stay away and avoid.
Initially, I had a table reserved and accompanied someone with mobility issues. I asked the host if we could be seated at a more accessible table, as he had suggested one cramped next to another. He refused our request and showed no empathy towards my dad's situation.
Instead, he offered us a table that was even farther away, which would require my dad to walk more than necessary. The table we preferred was more comfortable and had four seats available, but the host insisted we couldn't sit there because he was "arranging for others." Just five minutes later, that same table was given to a young couple who hadn't made a reservation!
The waitress, an adult woman wearing glasses, was also quite rude. I ordered two lattes and specifically requested that the drinks not be too hot, but they arrived very hot instead. She seemed rushed and showed no care for our needs, making us feel uncomfortable throughout our visit.
When we signalled for the bill from another staff member, she noticed that her colleague was not paying attention but chose to ignore us instead of offering assistance. Moreover, when we were settling the bill, she refused to help with the calculations, leaving us to figure everything out on our own.
There was a wobbly table next to ours, and the couple sitting there complained about it, so the staff moved them to another table. Instead of fixing the table, they seated other customers there, who also complained. I don't understand why they would put people at a wobbly table again.
And the food.. very average.
Honestly, everyone there had very poor customer service skills. They had no respect for mobility issues or customers in general. They're new to the neighbourhood, and they are not suitable for what the area stands for. I'll make sure everyone I know is aware of what...
Read moreFantastic is an understatement. Lots of choice here, yet everything was incredibly fresh and healthy.
For starters we had the prawns which were cooked perfectly with a good quality olive oil that complimented the advocado and tomato salad well. For mains we had the beetroot ravioli, which was very (naturally) sweet with a cheese that cut through it so it was incredibly pleasant and light. Looking at it also felt like a trip through Wonderland.
The other was the duck leg. This is a classic dish that is traditionally very heavy. So On The Greens version deserves a standing ovation. Meat was cooked to perfection, falling off the bone, and the cherry sauce was somehow super light and airy, especially over the kale. The potato.. Lasagne?... Was unbelievably complimentary. Probably my favorite take on this dish ive ever had. Am definitely going to come back to have this again.
Service was perfect too. Our waiter, who revealed to us at the end is actually the owner, was unpretentious and unobtrusive, finding that rare, perfect balance of being there if we needed him yet leaving us space to fully enjoy a date in the beautiful spring weather.
There are some small improvements we'd suggest. For one the music was quite loud, though we were inside and suspect it was to let it carry outdoors a bit. The other was it would have been nice to have cushions on the chairs. As a new restaurant though it makes a lot of sense to wait on such an investment. The emphasis was clearly on quality cuisine rather than conceptual ambience. The result is a simply devine local...
Read moreFrom the moment I walked into Brags & Brams, I knew I was in for a treat. The cozy and inviting atmosphere made it the perfect place to enjoy a delicious meal. The brunch was absolutely amazing—the eggs were cooked to perfection, the pancakes were fluffy, and every bite was full of flavor. And let’s talk about the pizza—easily one of the best I’ve ever had! The crust was crispy, the toppings were fresh, and it was just the right balance of cheesy and savory. On top of that, the service was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and welcoming. If you’re looking for a fantastic spot for breakfast, brunch, or pizza, this is the place to go. I’ll...
