We have been here before and have always been happy. We were here again on Mothers Day and we had a good time despite all of the negative feedback below. When we stepped in 10:50 for our 11:00 reservation the restaurant was absolutely packed and we could see the staff running around. People were complaining of the wait however that did not put us off. We sat down and waited patiently. As we could see how busy it was, whilst we were waiting for our parents we went ahead and decided what we would order. Our parents arrived and around 11:30 waitress came by an asked us if we wanted drinks. We gave our entire order in one go as we could see how busy the restaurant was and kept the order simple. She made us aware of the wait as they had staff shortage on top of being absolutely packed wth bookings. I saw groups walk in and insist on waiting for a table without a booking even though they were told the restaurant was fully booked. It was Mothers Day afterall and we were there to celebrate and catch up aso we were in no hurry. If were were in a hurry I suspect we may have left as well. Witnessing the complaints and walk outs around me I saw that those who decided not to take up their booking were refunded their deposit. Our food arrived later than expected, we did wait a long time but in fairness given how swamped they were we were not suprised. Our food was great quality as always and we were not rushed to eat our food. When we received our bill there was no service charge and they kept some items off our receipt and we had them on the house. I suspect this is because the management felt bad themselves about not being able to deliver the good quality service they always do and wanted to show some good will. Overall we had a good time but I can imagine not everyone was in the same mindset or had the luxury of not being in a hurry as we were. That being said, given the circumstances on the day beyond the teams control do not just judge this place based on the negative comments in realtion to Mother's day. This is not to slander the experiences which were not positive but to try and give a balance to experiences form the day. As I approached the restaurant a family were outside complaining about their experience in the restaurant. We got inside another lady had expressed how awful the service is. We decided to make our own decision. I deeply regret this.
We ordered drinks and food at the same time past 11am. My drink did not come. We waited till 12:30 and still no food. No explanation, no apologies just “it’s Mother’s Day, it’s busy” the table of almost 8 guests who arrived and order us were served their food whilst we were there.
We ordered breakfast; eggs, bread and sausages under no circumstances should that take the time it did. I asked for the bill and to my surprise I was actually expected to pay for the few drinks we had. Absolutely appalling service.
I also want to make a point that the family outside that complained, the lady that complained after them and ourselves were all of the same race. Do I think that was a coincidence? No. The worst service I have ever experienced. An hour and a half for eggs and toast, meanwhile a family of 8 ordered lunch, with gosh, meat etc and received their food and the staff though this was ok. Our 3 year old had to lick Jam for food. They also thought this was ok.
I would not recommend this place and I will advise anyone else that wants to attend this restaurant to stay clear away from it.

We opted for the 2 dishes for £29.95 when we got the bill the discount was not put on. When asked why there response was we didn't state when ordering. When asked but the dishes we asked for are included in the offer so we assumed this would automatically be done she said yes u have the correct dishes but you didn't ask so prior so they refused to change. Waiting long intervals for drinks. Been here before but never on a Saturday so not sure if that was the problem not enough waiting staff no-one even checked on us throughout our meal we constantly had to call for more drinks for the prices u pay u expect better customer service.
