La Baita — Restaurant in London

The best restaurant in all Chingford. It’s not simply a restaurant it’s like a family.! From the chef and owner Filipe (Filippo for many customers). When you come in, in the restaurant, you can feel always amazing smell and fabulous dishes. The other owner, Isidro, doesn’t exist the words for him, it’s the best in everything. He’s always with smile on his face, always happy to give at the customers a good vibes and best experience in the restaurant. If you looking for a fabulous place and amazing dishes you need to go there. Top quality Top People, Top customers and not expensive at all. 10/10!! (sorry for not fluent English)

The best Italian restaurant in Chingford by far... Delicious food! Service by very experienced waiters on white table cloth! We always go with the daily recommendations and they are delicious. Duck, skate, frsh crab salad and bacon scallops are my favourite dishes. Good t-bone as well! Veal liver mmmmmm delicious. Someone mentioned that the food is served quite plain. The food is traditionaly cooked. This is what makes it delicious, traditional Italian restaurant is not a fancy flower garnished dishes etc., is it? ...and the bread is plain...of course it is, you are meant to dip it in the rich sauces served or eat it with the freshly made soup. They never said no to me asking to swap sauces on dishes, butter lemon capers instead of milanese style etc., never. Add olives in dishes, no problem. *EDIT Dec 2019 - 4 stars -A big difference after 1 year Came back for a Christmas Party and I has improved a lot. The atmosphere is brighter and the restaurant itself has been extended a little in the front. This year I had Salmon for my mains which came with roast potato and broccoli and it lasted lovely. The size of the salmon was what surprised me most, huge!! To top it off I had some chocolate ice cream and it all went down really well. My main criticism is how late the food came out. After 9PM was a bit too late! Also the vegetable soup starter was pretty bland and forgettable. Let's hope it gets even better soon.
