I want to preface this review by saying we didn’t dine at this restaurant, so I can’t comment on the food. However, I feel compelled to share our experience. We live locally and were passing by with our two young children when my 5-year-old urgently needed the toilet. To avoid an accident, we asked if she could quickly use the facilities. We were told, quite firmly, that restrooms are for customers only — which I completely understand. I immediately offered to purchase a bottle of water to qualify as a customer.

Despite this, the response from the waitress was unnecessarily rude, and the attitude of her colleague (who turned out to be the manager) was equally unwelcoming. When we did use the toilet, there was no toilet paper available, and when we asked for some, we were refused. Sadly, my daughter left in tears.

As a parent, I’ve been in this situation before and have always been met with kindness and understanding — until now. I was genuinely shocked by how we were treated. While I can’t speak to the food, this experience has certainly put me off ever...

I think the restaurant really needs to improve their booking system. When I booked online, there was no option to choose between indoor or outdoor seating. When we arrived, we were told the system automatically allocates where guests sit – which meant we were put outside. The weather wasn’t great, and although the staff and the service was good, I found it really disappointing not to have the choice.

If that’s how the system works, at the very least it should be made clear in the notes at the end of the booking, or ideally allow customers to select indoor/outdoor when making a reservation. It feels like a small but important detail, and it did put a dampener...

Went here for an 11.30 booking for brunch. We had sat down for less than 2 minutes and been asked by 2 different servers if we were ready to order - we asked for another minute and then asked again by someone else straight away. The food came - which was nice - but they cleared away my partners food when I was still eating then tried with mine when I wasn’t finished. They brought the bill over at 12.05 so we paid. I felt so rushed and been here just over 30 mins for brunch! Would not recommend at all I was looking forward to it all week, I would please say have one...

What a lovely spot for a roadside brunch! I made a reservation beforehand, but I wasn't sure if the staff had seen it. Thankfully, there was space (even outside) when we arrived, so it all worked out. I started off with a delicious cup of coffee, and then I ordered the pork benedict while my partner chose the smoked salmon avocado egg. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals, but we agreed that mine was definitely the star of the show! 😄 The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, especially the lady who took our orders; she was particularly wonderful.

This small business is thriving thanks to the quality of its food. Starting with a restaurant in Clapham Common Old Town, they've now expanded to a second location on Northcote Road. It's all about the food here - a fantastic brunch spot with no fuss, just delicious eats. The portions are generous, and the food is really tasty. The English Breakfast and Pulled Pork Benedict Eggs are standout dishes. The service is spot on. Given its popularity, the place is often packed on weekends, so it's highly recommended to book ahead.
