Summary: Good service and atmosphere, but by and large mediocre food at West End prices.

My party had tuna, sea-bass, 2 chickens and veal. The sea food options looked quite good, could have been better presented but tasted good and fresh. The veal option seemed to go down quite well (I assume) but no-one was raving about the food at the same time.

But the real let down was the chicken dish - borderline tasteless. The people in my party who had the chicken said a Nando's would have been a better option. So that was very disappointing to hear. Also, the portions for the chicken were small and they both left hungry after.

I eat out a lot and I can't reconcile the generally very favourable reviews that this restaurant has on Google Reviews and OpenTable with my experience. It wasn't a terrible experience - it is a more a case of 'if you're going to charge £18 for a chicken dish in Clapham Junction area...then it has to hit the spot'. And it really didn't.

Also, the presentation of the vegetables was quite odd. Extremely salty potatoes, very small portions (again) and the actual dish it was served on would have been expected in a budget Tooting curry house but not a 'towards the higher end' Italian restaurant.

We didn't have dessert or wine but the options did look good, in fairness.

I think the ambiance was overall, good. I can imagine during a week day it can be a bit romantic.

However, the chicken dish was a write-off. I would have given it 3 stars but because the restaurant has prices similar to La Famiglia in Chelsea and erm, this restaurant clearer isn't that...I...

A beautiful place, with an even more beautiful environment and staff.

The food came at a good pace - it didn’t take long at all, but it wasn’t rushed at all. Every dish was perfectly cooked, no cold bits or non-fresh ingredients in sight! Personally, ordered the Spaghetti Vongole and….perfect. The only word I’d use. As mentioned before, all the food was fresh and delicious. The drinks were refreshing, and overall very, very good.

In terms of atmosphere, it’s cosy and relaxing. At one point the lights dimmed, and everything became, somehow, more comforting and intimate. Despite the noise of other customers, everyone in the group I was with felt at ease. All the cutlery and plates were pristine, and we were given citrus scented wipes after our mains - which were very helpful. The tables had tablecloths, which is always amazing as nowadays they no longer seem to be used as much.

Lastly, the staff. Everyone was absolutely delightful, greeting us the minute we walked in and not hesitating for some banter as food was delivered and brought away. We had the absolute pleasure of talking a lot with Daniele, and he was more than amazing! Laughter all around, and made our dining experience even better.

Overall, very amazing place. Would definitely recommend coming here either with family or dates! Atmosphere is lovely, food is to die for, and just nice all...

We booked a table for 4 people 3 weeks before our reservation date, and we were called to ask if we wanted the booking 1 hour before as they were full, we confirmed the booking and when we arrived we were the only table there and sat directly next to the staff who were eating lunch. The manager of the restaurant served us but kept making remarks about silly things. We ignored him but found his attitude very invasive. When the main course came, I asked for Parmesan cheese and the manager told me how can I out parmesan cheese on my pasta dish, that he would not put parmesan cheese on the pasta dish I was eating, and he never even offered to the other guests who were eating pasta dishes. When I asked why there was a problem he huffed and then they changed to a lovely waitress who was so pleasant. I sent my dish back, as it was dry lacked flavour and tasted like butter and butter was not an ingredient. When I ordered the bill the manager argued with me and told me I have to pay for the dish I sent back, and that parmesan does not go with the dish. I explained to him that he is causing a scene because I asked for parmesan cheese in an Italian restaurant. I paid the full price for the sake of peace, but genuinely as someone with Italian roots, this food is not great and the service is bad. JUST FOR FUN IF YOU GO I DARE YOU TO ASK FOR EXTRA...

Came here for the second time and I didn't enjoy it like before. Tortellini were not homemade as said in the menu and the ragú had a fennel seed taste which shouldn't. Starter were very good. First time here: Lovely dinner and lovely environment. Delicious starters, one with bresaola and bufalo mozzarella, the other one with fresh porcini mushrooms! I asked for some olive oil and the quality was great! They have a rich menu with a big choice of home made pasta and other main courses. Ingredients are all fresh and portions are very generous. The staff is nice and friendly and wine choice is vast and high quality. It's a shame they don't have home made deserts , if they did my vote would definitely be a 5 starts! I would recommend this restaurant for dates and special occasions. I would suggest the owner to serve home made deserts too to give customers a full sublime experience. We spent 80£ for 2 starters, two mains, a desert wine and coffee.

We LOVE this unique southwest london Italian restaurant. When we lived here 10+ years ago with no kids it was our favourite place to eat with friends. Fast forward having lived in the US and now permanently based in the Cotswolds we visited with our 11 year old daughter as we were in London for the night. It did not disappoint, as great as it always was, staff were as friendly and gracious as ever. Will never forget the memories here. So good to be back.
