Customer service is the worst I've ever had. I ate here Monday night just before closing time. The 2 renking women that served are absolutely disgusting. Rude vile women, more so the lightskin lady. Standing there preparing your food while blatantly insulting you, thinking we can't understand what she's saying. We all wanted to walk out but we was STARVING and had a long drive back. The chicken on display looked old and dry, and the dumplim was stiff as a board. The goat was okay and the mac & cheese was okay. The chicken is dry but the sauce they put on helps. I dnt no who management is or if they'll see this, but you should hire some people that have a clue about customer service, I no they say yard food service is never good but them 2 fasty woman are a step to far, laugh and giggle and a diss you while preparing your food. I did wanna say something but they look like the type to do something to your food out the back. And my mum said never disrespect someone that's preparing your food. Disgrace. Ps: I just check the 1 & 2 star reviews and it seems SEVERAL PEOPLE have had the same issue regarding these women's horrible service. When are you going to take action and listen to your customers. I know most carribean restaurants hire family so I see why you won't fire them, but at least tell them to fix up there stinking attitude. One day they'll say the wrong thing to the wrong customer on a bad day and it will affect your shop...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have eaten from numerous Caribbean restaurants over the many, many years and most have failed miserably due to poor food quality, lack of taste not to forget a dreadful service. But all hail the Queen who runs 'Brown Sugar and Spice' on Forest Road as her culinary skills put ALL who came before her by the wayside. The love she injects into her food needs to be experienced as the flavours will have you coming back for more and more! This is authentic Jamaican cuisine to a high standard. Although there are a number of Caribbean restaurants locally, I have tasted them all and NONE of them offer the flavours, the competitive prices along with the wonderful customer service (they call me by my name when I enter!) and the injection of love she gives with every meal. The staff are all so nice and genuinely friendly. You got to go there and feel the love! It has taken me many years but finally I have found a Caribbean restaurant that is a cut above the rest. Brown Sugar offers something that others NEED to follow. This young Queen also feeds the homeless which is what she was doing today in her restaurant. An exceptional Lady, an...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI ORDERED THE BBQ CHICKEN MEAL WITH RICE AND KIDNEY PEAS.
THE CHICKEN WAS OFF, THE MEAL HAD TO BE PLACED IN A MICROWAVE BEFORE BEING SERVED. THE QUALITY OF THE FOOD IS TERRIBLE. PRE-MADE THEN HEATED IN A MICROWAVE BEFORE SERVING.
IT MAKES ME SICK TO SEE HOW CARIBBEAN FOOD IS GIVEN A BAD REPUTATION; DUE TO LAZY, USELESS PEOPLE WHO OPEN A CARIBBEAN RESTAURANT TO MAKE A QUICK BUCK.
I HOPE THEY CHOKE ON THE £7.50 I PAYED. I WILL NEVER BUY FROM THEM AGAIN.
IS THIS REALLY THE BEST THEY CAN DO? IN TERMS OF QUALITY OF FOOD AND SERVICE. IF IT IS; GOOD LUCK. I READ A RESPONSE FROM THE OWNER SAYING: THANKS FOR THE WELL WISHES. I NEED TO BE CLEAR; I AM NOT WISHING YOU WELL. I JUST WANT YOU TO STOP CALLING YOURSELF A CARIBBEAN RESTAURANT.
MY EXPECTATIONS ARE NOT THAT HIGH. YOUR FOOD IS POOR. DID YOU READ MY REVIEW. A MICROWAVE WAS USED TO COOK MY FOOD RIGHT BEFORE MY EYES. I KNOW SOMETHING ABOUT COOKING GOOD QUALITY FOOD, AND YOUR RESTAURANT PROVIDES JUNK. WHEN I SAY GOOD LUCK; IT MEANS I THINK YOU ARE BEYOND HELP. YOU NEED TO...
