Music wasn’t good but that’s not really my complaint as it’s a crab shoot with these kind of places.
It was my first time here and I was looking for the bathroom. I opened a door but it led out to the street. Quickly realised my mistake and tried to shut the door but a bouncer grabbed it and yelled at me to “get out and come outside”. I asked why and told him why I’d opened that door. He’d seen the whole thing so knew I came from inside and wasn’t trying to sneak my way into the bar. He then tried to pull me out the door and I stood my ground. Another bouncer came over and pushed me forcefully but I refused to move and asked what they were doing. To which the first bouncer said “you know what you were doing” - to which I still don’t know what he was referring to. They asked to see my stamp. Which I showed them. But that didn’t seem to matter as the both of them pushed and dragged me outside. I don’t know what I’d done.. I then walked 10 metres back to the front door, showed the guy at the front my stamp and he let me back in.. it just seemed so pointless and confusing. I was shaking as I’d just been assaulted and obviously very unhappy with the situation. Ruined a night where I just wanted to go dancing with my girlfriend. She was very unnerved by the situation. Disgraceful really… won’t be coming back and will tell everyone...
Read moreMost exclusive bar in London at 6.30pm. Arrived and tried to walk in and the doorman sidestepped to block my entrance. He asked if I had a booking, I said no, my friends are already in there. Bizarrely asked me my name even though I told him I/we didn't have a booking. I asked him if he wanted my name or the booking name. I told him my name and told him we didn't have a booking. I then had to get my phone out and show him on find my friends that my friends were already in there. When I arrived at my friends' table, I told them about my experience with the doorman. They also told me that they had had a poor experience and that he had searched a female's bag which she had told him was an overnight bag including underwear and that he had also asked her to open a sealed bottle of Evian to check the contents. I ordered a drink at the bar and told the barman of our experience with the doorman and that the doorman was unfriendly and rude. The barman told me the doorman was agency, I told the barman he should consider my feedback a complaint and to pass it to the person in charge. Sat down and had a drink, no one came to speak to me, had one drink and left. On leaving, the doorman was challenging another individual who was trying to enter who was on the phone to his friends to come to the door so that he...
Read moreCame for a drink outdoors and enjoy the decent weather. They have plenty of tables outdoors where they provide table service. Plenty of staff in taking orders and keeping the terrace clean and looked after. It took around 20 minutes however for me to get my drinks.. twice.. the staff I spoke to was really nice though and offered us a complimentary pint upon realise the issue. All staff was really friendly and laid back which is what I like to see when visiting a place as it allows me to get in the same mood.
They offer quite a few cocktails, wines but only 2 draft beers (peroni or asahi). Prices are average for London.
Place turns into a live music venue after 9pm on Fridays. You need to be in before 9 to get a free stamp, otherwise it will be 5£ entry fee. Good spot for some fun with friends singing tunes and having a few drinks.
In terms of food they offer pizzas while you can also order from Patty & Bun (burgers) next door if seating in the terrace.
Security was rude and dry as you would expect. Really not helping the vibe...
