Absolutely phenomenal lunch experience at C.DO Sushi today — this hidden gem is an undeniable treasure for sushi lovers in the Gidea Park/Romford area!

From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming and clean, with a relaxed yet classy dining vibe. The service was friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about the food they serve. We were seated quickly, given thoughtful recommendations, and made to feel like valued guests from start to finish.

Now onto the real highlight — the sushi! Every dish was a visual masterpiece, bursting with colour, texture, and freshness.

🍣 Highlights from our order: • Flame-Seared Salmon Rolls: An absolute standout. The slightly torched salmon on top melted in the mouth, perfectly complemented by the pop of tobiko (fish roe) and the crunch of fried onion. The balance of flavours — creamy, smoky, and savoury — was just divine. Paired with fresh wasabi and pickled ginger, each bite was a dream. • Crispy Tempura Rolls with Jalapeño & Spicy Tuna: Bold, crunchy, and full of flavour. The jalapeño and tuna combo brought just the right kick, and the sweet soy drizzle tied it all together. The texture was spot on — light and crispy without being greasy. • Crispy Soft-Shell Crab Starter (pictured on their profile): Excellently seasoned and fried to perfection — delicate and full of umami. Served with a tangy dipping sauce and fresh garnish, it was an elegant and tasty start to our meal.

Each dish was plated beautifully and served promptly, showing real care and pride in the kitchen. The fish quality was outstanding — fresh, firm, and clearly handled by professionals who know sushi inside and out.

Excellent! I really dont like sushi but i cant deny this was amazing. I enjoyed the tuna crunchy roll a lot and the nigiri was so good. Everything was prepared on site and fast. The gyoza was tasty and the chicken skewers were excellent. Also wasnt that expensive, a welcome surprise.

EDIT: Since this review i have been 3 more times, and each time was excellent. Ordered main meals these times (Udon, Katsu Curry Don) and side dishes and it is always excellent. Seriously a great place to pick up a good price great tasting dinner. Definitely become my favourite "want takeout but not boring fast...

AVOID Went to place an order for a takeaway, I noticed the chef/server eating noodles on top of food which would be served to customers. I was disgusted by this and walked away. I had a thought others should be aware, I then turned back and recorded the whole video from outside, I confronted the chef/server he was not bothered, i told him i will put this up as review, his answer was “thank you.” Absolutely disgusting, no food hygiene...
