Storey’s Gate Café is a hidden gem nestled right at the edge of St. James’s Park. The location alone makes it worth a visit—just steps from Westminster Abbey and the Houses of Parliament—yet it never feels overcrowded or rushed. The building itself has a charming, historic feel, and the outdoor seating under the trees is a serene spot to relax with a coffee.
The menu is refreshingly modern, with great options for vegetarians and vegans. I had the acai bowl and a flat white—both were excellent, fresh, and beautifully presented. The staff were friendly and efficient, and the service was quick despite a steady flow of customers.
What really stands out is the atmosphere. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, it’s a peaceful place to recharge amid the busyness of central London. Definitely one of my favorite stops when I’m in the area.
Customer service at this place is absolutely amazing and friendly. Will...
Read moreI arrived in the place bursting to go to toilette, I asked where was it, they said there was none (?). How is that possible to not have a toilette with the staff also needs one? Probably they have, but don't want the customers to go and use it, which is very rude. Even with this, we bought of coffee, but I ordered something in the menu, avocado smashed in sourdough bread, and they said there was none (?) and only the option in the display (only heating). I got the impression they said that because was busy and they didn't want to make it, because how is possible to be in a very nice corner of LONDON City, have something in the menu, in a very busy place, and not have the ingredients to do it? Also, only the kitchen girl was kind, the ones in the till are not too receptive. Apart from that, the...
Read moreThe staff were really super lovely, so I don't want to take away from that. Our teas and coffees were also very tasty. However, as other reviewers have mentioned, there is no toilet. Having had a walk through the parks and having a slightly older relative with us, we thought the café would be a good resting stop - for toilet and refuel. Unfortunately, we'd already bought our drinks before we realised, so we were in some discomfort until we could find public toilets nearby. I think if a space provides food and also welcomes people to sit-in, toilet facilities...
