AARIFA IS AWFUL AWFUL! I made an order online and I didn’t receive one of my items and I couldn’t get a refund from Uber for it. I phoned Caffè Nero and they answered laughed at me down the phone and hung up!!!! Then wouldn’t answer the phone when I tried to call back. I was so upset I drove there and they had no excuse and just said that I should have just requested the refund from Uber. Aarifa then tried to get other customers involved in the conversation. So unprofessional!! I’ve paid for delivery and ended up having to go there to get the items anyway! I appreciate it’s a first world problem, but when I’ve got two small babies at home and made a coffee order to get delivered and then being laughed at down the phone when I’ve asked about a missing item is just such poor service. Read more2025 update The team has changed several times in two years. The coffee and the music are still the best in the area. The quality of customers choosing to drink-in has become a bit more mixed with some mentally disabled customers choosing to while away the day at this cafe, talking on speakerphone, burping and mumbling. Hopefully, this will remain a rare occurrence.
Update from 2023: Still the best place for coffee in Stanmore. Jazz music, helpful staff and better quality clientele. Some people abuse the hospitality by buying one drink, being their own and staying too long.

Read moreAs nice as this coffee shop is, I was taken aback by the member of staffs rudeness when I asked about the size of the Grande cup, I always ask for the small size. I told her I asked because I did not know, she very soon changed her tune. There are members of staff who work at various branches around who are not particularly welcoming. It's a shame as it's such a reputable cafe and they serve pretty good coffee. Maybe cafe Nero needs to review their customer service training? The seating area itself is good and kept clean and the music played was suitably calm. I was able to write without any interruption and felt very relaxed.
