I went in for a coffee 8.50 am - as some of the displays weren't set up I wasn't sure it was open, so I I said "hello are you open?" The lady behind the counter glared at me rudely and shouted "OF COURSE!!!" I asked for a coffee but her replies were very hard to understand because she kept turning her back on me. She then rudely told me to "sit down". The coffee arrived. Once finished I thought I'd help out, (seeing as the cafe clearly wan't actually ready to accept customers - she was vigorously cleaning and food was still being laid out for the day) by returning my cup and saucer to the counter. She saw me do this and shouted "NO NO NO NO NO NO NO!!!!!!! YOU HAVE TO LEAVE IT WHERE YOU WERE SAT!!!!!!" "REMEMBER NEXT TIME!!!!!"
Trust me - there won't be a next time. Avoid this place. If this is the attitude when it's quiet and all the customer wants is a cup of coffee, I dread to think what it's like when it's busy. Rudeness seems to be Caffe Caffe's default setting.

   Read moreAbsolutely unacceptable experience at this restaurant. My partner and I suffered severe FOOD POISONING after consuming a tuna wrap from their takeout menu. The symptoms were intense and debilitating, ruining what should have been an enjoyable meal.
To make matters worse, my friend had an equally horrendous experience dining in. She was served the wrong omelette with mushrooms in it, which she was allergic to. Despite clearly indicating her dietary restrictions, the staff's negligence could have led to a serious health emergency. The handling of the situation by the manager was atrocious â instead of rectifying the mistake and offering an apology, they were rude and accused her of ordering the wrong dish.
The staff's lack of training and professionalism is evident and completely unacceptable. There are far far better dining options in Teddington. Save yourself the ordeal and AVOID this place at all costs. I hope this place...
