It is rare when an establishment exists that is capable of exceeding all expectations, but time and time again my tastebuds and heart are filled with the utmost satisfaction. As if from a dream Marez Brasserie materialised in the heart of teddington, my suspicious nature prevented me from entering the restaurant for some time, but even I could not resist seeing so many beaming faces enjoying succulent dishes time after time as I passed by!

I gave in, me and my wife decided to give it a go, at once upon entry we were greeted by a delightful atmosphere and kind inviting smiles from the staff, shown casually to our seats we felt right at home in an instant!

The menu teaming with countless options each more delicious than the last, I say this with no exaggeration there is not an item on this menu that does not sound magnificent!

The staff and owner, Nihed (a charming charismatic man with an aura of being everyone's favourite uncle) are accommodating incredibly friendly and always up for a laugh, no matter how ludicrous my requests for extras they're always prepared to fill my plate with piping hot intoxicating food, it's quickly become a regular eatery for me and my beloved wife, I feel a fool for not plucking up the courage to try somewhere new sooner!

After reading mutliple rave reviews across various local online forums, I decided to give Marez a try for the first time last week.

They definitely lived up to all the local hype!

The food was delicious, staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the coffee was first class - one of the best I've had in my 12 years of living in London!

I also loved that they've collaborated with a small family-run specialty coffee company, who use a unique way of roasting the beans to give it a deliciously smooth, nutty flavour.

I had the Marez Club Ciabatta, a side of truffle chips and a flat white - all which were absolutely on point. (The servings were so generous, I didn't need dinner that night!)

And refreshingly, came without a pricey bill at the end (...only approx £18, incl service).

The menu has an array of options to suit any time of day and dietary requirements, the dining space is smart and modern, whilst still being casual and comfortable. Everything was spotlessly clean and the staff - Nihed, Nadia and Alfie - were super friendly, accommodating and full of heart. I walked in feeling tired and drained from an early start at work, but left feeling incredibly uplifted and positive.

I can't wait to come back to try all the delicious brunch offerings with my friends and neighbours. So great to have another local independent cafe on...
