{Food}

Bingsoo - 10/10. Amazing milky vanilla flavour from the shaved ice, melts right in your mouth. Any additional toppings such as matcha, strawberry, etc are also absolutely amazing - they all pair really well. I would recommend the Oreo and Strawberry Bingsoo's.

Matcha Latte - Might genuinely be the best Matcha Latte I've ever tasted, and I have Matcha Lattes on a daily. The Matcha flavour is so overpowering in the best way possible. I asked for oat milk and I still tasted the Matcha REALLY well. For Matcha Lattes paired with plant-based milks, 9/10 times it masks the Matcha flavour - but Cake and Bingsoo Cafe's Matcha is absolutely present.

Cakes - Absolutely amazing cakes. Soft, flavourful, creamy, etc. I would recommend the blueberry and strawberry cakes. They also have a bunch of random cakes sometimes, which all taste lovely.

{Service}

Amazing service from what I've had. Usually very quick and efficient, and also super friendly!

{Atmosphere]

The atmospheres wonderful. When there's a lot of people around, it's totally a vibe. When there's not a lot of people around, it's quite a nice cafe where you'll see people studying and stuff. There's also a super cute selfie booth room where you can take photos by yourself or with a friend - which also adds to the whole vibe as well.

{Miscellaneous}

During peak hours sometimes there's usually dirty tables left by previous people that don't get spotted straight away and stay there for a long time. However, if you just tell a staff member or point it out they'll fix it straight away!

Overall, absolutely amazing place to both hangout and study. I would...

I travelled from Peckham to New Malden specifically to visit your café because I really enjoy bingsu. Sadly, my experience left me feeling unwelcome and deeply disappointed.

When I arrived, I greeted the woman at the counter with a “hi,” and she responded — but then went on to ignore me and served the person who was behind me in the queue. When I politely confronted her about this, she suddenly claimed she didn’t speak fluent English, even though we had just exchanged greetings without any issue. This felt dismissive and unfair.

I was asked to sit and wait for my order, but there were only a few tables available and they were all messy. I chose to sit at one, expecting that someone would come and clean it — especially since I saw a staff member clean another table right in front of me. I assumed my table would be cleaned when my order was ready, but no one came.

I ended up collecting my order myself, clearing the leftover food from the table, and asking for a rag so I could clean it. Only after I had done all that did someone come over.

Throughout my visit, I noticed I was the only Black customer in the shop, and I couldn’t shake the feeling that I was being treated differently. The lack of basic courtesy, the dismissive behavior, and the neglect made me feel excluded.

No customer should be made to feel this way, especially after making an effort to come to new malden. I hope you seriously reflect on how this situation was handled and take steps to ensure that all customers — regardless of background — are treated with respect...

INCREDIBLE little korean cafe on the high street. Desserts were so good we ended up ordering more! The matcha crepe cake was unreal, as well as the matcha cookies.

The Bingsoo was a bit of a let down which was a shame, we arrived at 4pm and the only flavours left were plain (red bean), strawberry and oreo. Shaved milk ice itself was bland and tasted of water. Wouldn't have been happy to pay £6.50 if it wasn't half price with Eat out scheme. Not the cheapest of cafes but worth it for the unique experience!

The Matcha cupcake was beautiful, cake itself was wonderful but icing tasted like pure butter and was far too reach for our tastes. Oat milk lattes were great though.

Staff were very friendly, helpful and incredibly efficient, despite the cafe being so busy. Great Covid precautions in shop including 2m standing floor stickers, mandatory temperature checks and glass screens. Decor was adorable and chic. Just beware of noise, it was very loud in there, especially with screaming children! Not your average quiet coffee shop for studying etc.

Would definitely recommend a visit, a very unique establishment. Will make you feel like youre in an authentic Korean coffee shop! Just be sure to get there early morning or afternoon as popular options like Mango Bingsoo...

WORST EXPERIENCE‼️😡!!! Things you should know before visiting this place: The photo booth may be out of order, and they might refuse to give you a refund. The cafe staff were unfriendly and refused to give me a refund. There is a photo booth inside the store. In Korea, it costs about 1.80£ but here I was charged 10£ (I have no complaints that the price is higher, but shouldn't the service be good?) Due to a machine malfunction, the photo was cut incorrectly, and when I requested a refund, they only took my card details and never processed it. I told the staff member at the cafe that the photo was cut incorrectly, but he only said the machine often breaks down and did nothing to help. If you visit here, make sure to ask the staff beforehand if the machine is working properly before using it! (DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY‼️) If you won't give me a refund, why did you take my card number? You made me wait for a month, but the refund never happened. This is unacceptable😅 ——-I recommend the matcha bingsoo and the mango bingsoo—— 한국인으로써 같이 방문했던 영국인 친구에게 너무 창피했습니다 ㅎㅎ

Cute little cafe in New Malden serving up sandwiches, hot drinks, cakes and bingsoo. Tried their earl grey cake, matcha Frappuccino and mango bingsoo. The cake was so amazing, perfectly light and fluffy, definitely coming back to try the blueberry cake (the person in the line before me ordered the last slice). Really cute interior, feels like I’ve been transported into a Korean drama setting, there are quite a few tables inside and outside for people to enjoy their orders. The matcha Frappuccino was not the strong side, it was quite bitter but understandably matcha is one of those flavours where some places will make it strong and some places will make it sweeter. I have been to Bingsoo a couple of times and while I usually enjoy the bingsoo this time round it was far too sweet and you could taste the sugar granules mixed into the bowl, because of the sweetness and the sugar grain texture we couldn’t really finish it. I would definitely recommend for their cakes and a cute spot for a day date or to hang out with friends.
