PizzaExpress — Restaurant in London

This branch used to be my favourite Pizza Express - would travel all the way from Purley to get to this specific branch, but of recent, I think the management and staff have changed and the service is very very different..

In ALL pizza expresses across the country, they will make old recipes if you request, it's generally never a problem for them to make a pizza you like if the menu has changed slightly.. However, since the management changed, the staff seemed less concerned about pleasing customers and more hell-bent about not making any old recipes - which I have been ordering there for years.. There was literally no flexibility at all on any of the pizzas that my family and I ordered - something we are not used to at that branch..

Admittedly, the staff are not rude in any way, that would be a lie and a misrepresentation, but there is definitely less of a feeling of warmth from the staff and the manager - it is a more plastic environment now - i will say that, more concerned with order and policy than customers and community, which is a shame.. As a result, we will not be returning to this branch again, as my family and I really disliked the experience on our last visit.. I still love Pizza Express, but I will never go back to this branch again, solely because the nice...

Wow. Wow. This is the perfect word to describe my very recent experience at Pizza Express Abbeville Road. Firstly I most comment on the location. This must be the most perfectly located Pizza Express I have come across. And hey, I have travelled! I crept down the stunning roads of South Clapham and stumbled upon this wonderful restaurant. I have to say, my friends and I were welcomed with open arms. Marcella was indeed the "hostess with the mostest". She ensured that we were comfortable, that we were well watered and of course that we were well fed. Pizza Express has a very intelligent app which some of my unintelligent friends struggled to contend with. Marcella ensured that we all understood the technology on offer and were able to access all of the perks on offer - and quite incredible perks they were. This branch of Pizza Express has been going for many years. It continues to be of an excellent standard. We go fairly frequently as it is our local and the staff are absolutely wonderful. The other day we were attended to by Guiseppe who has been working there for many years, he is always so warm and friendly and knows exactly what are favourite choices are!
