This place is a hidden gem! My partner and I came here for a pre-game meal. The food came out reasonably quickly and piping hot, and tasted fantastic. We had the curry goat and jerk chicken with plain rice/ rice with peas. Both were amazing, but I fell in love with that goat curry. We also tried the plantains and that was super yummy too. I would’ve taken more pictures but got too eager to eat and forgot the others! My partner and I are both pretty big eaters, and the portions are satisfyingly big and definitely value for money. But we couldn’t help ordering a third meal to share, the sticky pork ribs - no regrets stuffing ourselves, we happily skipped dinner later on! Totalled up to about £50 or less. The service was also fantastic, the staff were friendly and relaxed, and always smiling and ready to help. We thought the table behind us was being pretty rude to the staff but they remained so nice and friendly, and calmly catered to all their fussy requests, above and beyond. Hands down one of the best experiences I’ve had of Carribean food in London. It’s a shame I don’t live nearby! Absolutely planning to return if I’m ever in the area again.

We had a nice welcome into the restaurant and were given a table straight away. The food was very tasty, we ordered about 10 different dishes. From deep fried ginger and garlic prawns, curry goat, jerk chicken, and oxtail. Everyone was happy with their choice. Service was very good and atmosphere relaxed. I was so happy I had to personally congratulate the chef for his talent and must say that's the first time for me. The only suggestion to minimise workload for the restaurant is reconsider using those metal bowls for the rice as means extra washing up and sure people would be happy to have rice on same plate as the protein. I will be back.

We have been to nine Caribbean countries, including Jamaica, and the self-proclaimed homemade cuisine here is 100% the real deal. The brown stew chicken was really tasty. The rice and peas helped soak up the delicious sauce from the chicken and we couldn’t get enough of the Callaloo. Although we didn’t ask for it, we received a portion of traditional Festival and fried dumplings. Again another specialty from Jamaica. For two people, this was more than enough for our meal. The portions are generous, the service very friendly and ambience with the reggae music playing in the background made for an enjoyable evening out.

I just wanted to start off by saying the atmosphere and staff here are lovely, but I was so sad to return home and be left so disappointed by the food.

The dishes were either far too salty or far too sweet, so you couldn’t enjoy any of the flavours behind it, we couldn’t taste any spice either. Me and partner both ate less than a quarter of the meal because of the saltiness in each dish.

It was also disappointing finding out 3 things I had ordered over the phone were unavailable when I arrived. I wouldn’t have made the journey had I known before hand…I was hoping this was going to be a regular for us but sadly there wasn’t one dish we could recommend. The plantain was also unripe, so didn’t have that sweetness you’d expect it to have.

I’m only leaving this review as we travelled quite a way and spent a lot of money for authentic food, only to be left lighter both in our pockets and stomachs. I hope the restaurant take on some of the feedback as the food could be great without overpowering them with salt and sugar. I can see the potential and maybe we just had a bad batch, but sadly we won’t be returning....

Hard to rate this one, so please read carefully. We tried to visit this restaurant the week of the semi finals of England's euro match, turned up on Saturday evening at 8pm to find it closed, because they'd run out of food.....(something I've never heard of). Then we went on the following Saturday, so the day before the euros final, we called before turning up, asked if everything was available on the menu and we were told that it was. We turned up 1 hour later to be told that all the fish dishes weren't available (which is a 3rd of their menu), then the drink of the day wasn't available. The food that we had was great (oxtail, rice n peas, fried dumplings, and coleslaw), and the portions were adequate.

It was just disappointing that so much of the menu wasn't available, and being a Caribbean restaurant, I'd always expect guiness punch to be available, especially if you're selling it for £5 a glass.

So the food was great, but the deception wasn't appreciated. If they'd had more options, then we would've spent more money. Now you can hopefully understand why it was difficult to...
