Whitton Cafe — Restaurant in London

I am writing to express my disappointment with the way a situation was handled during my recent visit. Shortly after my family and I arrived, two men entered the cafe. One of them politely asked if he could get a bacon sandwich but explained that he only had £2. The lady behind the counter told him that £2 wasn’t enough, and when he asked what he could buy with that amount to share with his friend, she again stated that nothing on the menu could be purchased for £2.

While we were there, my family and I overheard the conversation and offered to cover the cost of their meal. We were willing to pay for them to have something to eat, yet the attitude of the staff left us feeling upset and disheartened. The way the situation was handled showed a lack of empathy for people who may be struggling.

Even if the cafe had simply offered a basic item like two slices of bacon in a sandwich, they would have still been in profit, but instead, the men would have seen to leave empty-handed. I feel that this kind of attitude towards customers, especially those clearly in need, is both unprofessional and disappointing.

I hope the management at Whitton Cafe will reflect on this incident and consider how they can improve their customer service, showing more compassion to those...

I haven’t eaten in here for a few years and preferred the The Imperial Cafe which is sadly no more.

I’ve walked by here on numerous occasions and it’s always busy so today we thought we’d give it a go.

Entrance is on street level but has a manual door.

Definitely new owners/staff from the last time I was in here.

Very busy, order was taken promptly and the food came out in no time.

I went for the Mix Grill without gravy and it was very nice, very tasty. My mate had the Set 1.

If I could not give any star, I would not give. We ordered Full Monty and Veggie 2 with English tea. The tea came already with milk and tea bag inside the cup. I did not see any coffee shop or restaurant to serve tea with tea bag and milk inside the cup. Then we got bread with butter and Veggie 2, when I had feeling whether somebody ate the half or is something missing there? Full Monty came without sausage, but waitress said that she will bring it later. Food was too oily. Simply said so terrible food I did not...
