As soon as you walk in, you’re treated to a friendly welcome by the well mannered waiters. The atmosphere is vibrant with a warm cozy setting. It almost feels a bit like a posh nightclub, especially with the trendy music.
The food is flavoursome with great presentation, and most importantly very tasty. I was surprised to be served such a generous portion that was steaming hot. I ordered a lamb and spinach curry with pilau rice, while my friend went for lamb bhuna with tarka-daal.
There’s something special about the array of ingredients infused into the dishes, add to this the soft tenderness of the meats and you end up with a delicious recipe. Once we finished, there was a certain sensation of comfort as our bellies were full. The rich tastes of the food remained in our mouths even after we left.
I have to say that the toilets were very clean indeed and well maintained, something I always make sure to check first to ascertain the hygiene of the venue. I’m very fussy and am happy to report that my findings were extremely positive.
The restaurant has a full team of staff dedicated to serving their customers to their best accord.
I recommend this venue as a premium place to dine, especially with family, friends or even romance. I understand that they sometimes have events - Elvis night peaks...
Read moreGreat food but the music was awful to the point of torture.
Went with a few friends who are all keen curry eaters and we thought the food was good but after a few minutes you notice the music - it was a bland ambient thing on a 30 sevcond loop. As soon as you notice this it just gets more and more irritating. After about 20 mins of the same loop I was banging my head against the wall in the hope that it would create a ringing in my ears that would drown out the 'music' but it didn't work and the pain continued. Then salvation! They played 'Happy Birthday' to someone, which made a life-saving relief but they cranked the music and left it loud. Then they played a new loop which was just as bad as the first. I'm sure this form of aural torture must have been developed at Guantanamo and I've reported the place to Amnesty - it is cruel and unusual punishment and has no place in civilised society. By the time the bill came we were prepared to kill...
So, in brief, get takeaway because the food was good but wear ear defenders if you go in...
Read moreI recently dined at Spice of India in Whitton, and I feel compelled to share my experience. As a group of vegetarians, my companions and I were dismayed to discover meat in our food. This was particularly concerning as we had specifically requested vegetarian meals.
Upon further inquiry, we learned that the restaurant is operated by a group of Bengali Muslims. While I respect people of all backgrounds, I believe it's important for businesses to accurately represent themselves. The restaurant's branding as an Indian establishment may mislead customers who expect authentic Indian cuisine.
I urge my fellow Sikhs, Hindus, and anyone else who values honesty in business practices to not go here at all!! . It's essential to support businesses that genuinely reflect our cultural values and preferences.
Let's promote inclusivity and understanding while holding businesses accountable for their offerings. Thank you for considering my...
