Worst customer service. Ordered off of Just Eat. The order took ages to arrive. When it did arrive, there were three missing items. I called them to resolve the issue, but they kept reiterating that they were busy and would call me back. Not one apology for their incompetence. After waiting a lengthy time, I called them back twice. They ignored my calls until I called on withheld. I was told to wait again for their call. At this point the food was stone cold.
After a lot of back and forth, of the three missing items, they agreed to send out two. They refused to send out the salad. They said it didn't come with salad and when I told them the salad was listed on Just Eat and I kept requesting they refer to it, they tried to fob me off comparing it more to a garnish.
The manager was abrupt, loud and rude. She kept acting like she was doing me a favour. I had to remind her that they never fulfilled my order in full and I only wanted to receive what I paid for.
I’ve also previously ordered in store years ago and was told to hurry up. I literally asked the lady one question before being told this. The store was empty on that day. I later called to complain, but customer service means very little to them.
So, overall, a waste of money. The manager put me off my meal, so I chucked the stone cold noodles. Their hygiene rating is a 3, lovely.
The cost of living is expensive, don’t bother investing in something that may not turn up. They’re purposely misleading customers. It could be comparable to theft or a scam. This wasn’t an accident, as this has happened on a separate occasion and others have mentioned this in their reviews regarding their Bento boxes or meals not coming in full.
Update: I never received the three items (miso soup, sweet chilli chicken and the ‘goma’ salad). Just Eat also decided not to partially refund me, it’s a bot service, so not surprised.

Read moreI have been a loyal customer of Sushi Manga for over 2 years and I am beyond disappointed. I have had over 30 orders, each time getting increasingly worse, and now I have had enough.
Firstly, i order through Uber eats, which allows me to choose various options e.g no crispy onions. These options are completely disregarded. I can’t understand how you would allow these options if they will ultimately be ignored. Each time I order, these requests are brushed past. I kept ordering as I love the food and always put these issues down to just quick mistakes. But now the mistakes are too many to ignore. On my last order, I added in the comments if I could have my teriyaki sauce on the side instead of on top of the sushi. I received a phone call direct from the restaurant explaining that if I would like sauce on the side I would need to pay 50p. I agreed as it was such a small fee, and asked for it to be added to my order, and was met with the most disagreeable staff member who I believe to be the manager. I was told ‘unfortunately you would need to cancel the order and re order, however, the sauce is not available on Uber eats”. So I am expected to cancel an order I have already paid for, to put through the exact same order, even though what I would like is ‘unfortunately’ not on the menu. I offered to walk down and give them the 50p in person, and was told yet again to cancel the order and go through the same ordeal. This is the most simple request, and I feel silly even having to write this review, but I am beyond frustrated. I have loved this sushi for years, and am upset to end my relationship with them.
For anyone wanting a good sushi restaurant, avoid sushi manga. You won’t get what you ordered and you will be met with rude and entitled kitchen staff.

When I politely raised concerns about the quality of the sushi they acted like I was lying or trying to scam them, demanding photographic evidence as if anyone would go out of their way to fake a complaint just for a refund. No apology, no accountability, no effort to make things right just rude, defensive, and dismissive.
As for the food? Honestly terrible. The sushi arrived warm, dry, and totally unappetising, completely unacceptable. It tasted like it had been left out for hours. The fish had zero flavour or freshness, and every roll was packed with thick, heavy rice, making it impossible to taste anything but starch. Clearly CUTTING corners by overloading on cheap rice and barely adding any quality fish or avocado!
We used to be regular customers, but not anymore. It’s become a total rip-off with even worse sushi. They can’t take criticism, and instead of listening to feedback, they double down and act like the customer is the problem. Avoid!

For the record, I’ve actually been to Japan — multiple times. I know what real, authentic sushi tastes like. What you served wasn’t it.
