We stayed here at the beginning of March, upon arrival we had to pay immediately without seeing our room first. The room was very unpleasant, the bathroom had little black hairs on the floor, the whole building and rooms desperately needs renovation. The windows are very thin so you can hear everything from the street. I understand that you are in a busy city and there is noise anyway, but double windows would already make a big difference. We had booked 3 nights but due to a personal incident we had to leave 1 night early. We explained this to the manager and he said it was no problem and we would get a refund if we sent them an email. This is what we did. They asked for a copy of our train tickets as proof, we also forwarded this. Suddenly we received no reply from them. I then contacted them from Booking itself and there they suddenly claimed that they did not receive any tickets. A big lie. I finally contacted someone from Booking itself and they apologized for their way of working and refunded the amount to us. I mentioned this to the manager of the hotel and his response was "I don't give a sh**" and then dared to say that we were the ones lying. I am still in shock from this experience, never seen people treat their guests like this and use such language. I know they will refute everything I write here so that is why I added the screenshots as proof. I am not a person that will complain easily but I can't stand...

Read moreI was a little unsure how my stay would turn out here. I came for the weekend. My family stayed in another hotel while I was 10 minutes down the road. A great location for the tubes. And had a variety of takeaways and bars around it. ||The room was quaint. It felt old however I do like that old london building vibe with rickety stairs that creaked as you walk on them. The bed was very comfortable. A little cold, and I couldn't get to any switch on the radiator as it was covered by the wardrobe. However it didn't really matter. I had my dressing gown and a warm duvet to snuggle into. ||The lady who served breakfast is a credit to your establishment. Such a lovely person who helped geetting some coffee and milk for my room. And her homemade chips where to die for. The room was clean. I was pleasantly surprised on the clean shared bathroom. It did become a little annoying having to wait, as I have never had a shared bathroom before. However that has nothing to do with the hotel or its owners. The breakfast served was pretty tasty. And again served and cooked by the lovely lady. The guys who checked me in where very helpful and welcoming. I loved the busy noises of london. I am a certain fan of the city. Thank you for a...
