Chelsea Ram — Restaurant in London

We went with a friend on Monday lunchtime. The place was almost empty but ready for a Spanish theme in the late afternoon. Really lovely furnishing and nice the ginger barman even if some customer were a bit over friendly. Unfortunately there is not air conditioned (it's only in a small corner actually). So we had to seat in front of the entrance to have a bit of fresh air. I ordered the Chelsea Ram Burger (I asked medium cooking) and my friend the Spanish Omelette. My burger arrived 5 minutes before my friends food. So we had to wait and ask for updates. The meat was not Medium but Done and the fries over salted. The omelette was dried and the portion quite poor. The general layout of food was definitely unappealing. The waiter literally took off the dish when we still were eating the last potato frie. Small beer selection. It's a lovely place with a great potential but apparently not well managed. We liked the general feeling as soon as we entered after a while we felt like we were strangers at a family party. Everybody knew each other. And we were really disappointed by details. Disgraceful behaviour of gentleman BARTENDER working tonight (The only male working)

He is extremely Rude and should not work in hospitality  I went to the bar to pay my bill, at the bar I asked for the bill. He was a complete disgraceful to the organisation,  his Attitude as barman was unbelievable

I requested the bill… When I got cash out of my pocket  – His face dropped and attitude started

Then in an abusive manner  tone he started  “What!” he said - “NoCash” “ "Have you NOT got a card "What about Your Phone” – “Oh No” I have to go downstairs”, stormed off

Throws my change at me DON’T DO IT AGAIN!!!

I asked him what was on the Menu? NO CASH

“Think So!” he stated aggressively!  Actually I said no, I left extremely disappointed because the food was nice.

Unfortunately the place was empty I guess because the Gentleman’s dreadful customer care skills

He muted under his breath I DON’T CARE  As I walked away

The Bank of England £20 notes are legal tender in the UK. Nowhere does it say they DONT take cash / NOT ALLOWED in a visible place.

VERY very bad! experience I will...

We hosted a Burns Night dinner party celebration in the private room upstairs at the Chelsea Ram. The private room itself is cosy with its own bar and toilet. Jon, David and team were absolutely amazing from the day we booked to the evening of the event helping us organise the logistics for a perfect night. Our guests all commented on how tasty the food was and how nice it was to have such generous portion sizes in a London pub. The pub itself is tucked away down a lovely residential road in Chelsea near the river and is perfect to host gatherings of friends, family or colleagues. It is warm and welcoming and I would not hesitate to recommend the Chelsea Ram. Thank you for having us and I look forward to...
