Chicken Land Colindale — Restaurant in London

I always come to this place as my local chicken shop, even though there is a KFC too around the corner. Although chicken land is more expensive, I prefer this but for the past 2 times I have had food from here, the chicken has not been cooked properly and the service has not been good either.

Today I took my dad there to get some food, we went there about 9:50pm - firstly he asked for crispy chips, which ended up getting mixed with cold chips and were not crispy. Secondly, he asked for a thigh and breast piece of chicken which were not cooked properly. My dad tried to speak to the lady who works there by phone, and she very rudely cut the call before he could finish speaking to her and told him to speak to her boss tomorrow. Chicken Land has always been a staple for our family dinners. However, our recent order changed that sentiment. Not only were the chips in our buy one get one free 2-piece chicken and chips scant, but our chicken wrap meal, which clearly stated it came with fries and a drink, arrived without either. What’s puzzling was the staff’s response; one claimed he added the chips, while another argued we ordered only the wrap—even though our order showed the selected drink. Adding to the confusion, the usual receipt was missing. Thankfully, Uber Eats handled it with a full refund. While the meal ended up free, the trust we had in Chicken Land has been compromised. I went in there during work. I was served pretty quickly. I notice the cashier was rushing to get all the orders in. He was handling the fryer at the same time take orders.

Unfortunately my chips were greasy and very oily. I had brown oil from the fryer dripping inside of my chip bag. From the colour of my chips and the way they tasted I realised they were using oil which were a few days old. It left a stale taste in my mouth.

The chicken burger was ok, however my wings had a lot of dark meat inside which again was not a good sign.

I paid £5.90 for a chicken burger meal with 3 wings. Almost £6 I don't think it was worth the money...
