I found a lost dog outside The Cicchetti wine bar on the street. He was crying and distressed. I took him into the Cicchetti wine bar.
The Staff were absolutely AMAZING!! Despite having a "No Dogs" policy they were brilliant. They immediately gave the thirsty dog a Bowl of water.
The poor dog was feeling sick & vomited in the wine bar. Again the staff were amazing!!! They happily cleaned up the mess and then bought out some of their finest Parma ham for the poor dog.
They were very caring as the anxious and distressed dog ran around the wine bar and started making best friends with all the diners!
The poor dog had no ID tag in his collar & staff were very patient and understanding while I made various phone calls inside the restaurant to repatriate the poor dog with his owners.
He was looked after like a King!
This lovely dog couldn't have chosen a better restaurant to have sat outside while he was lost!
A big TEN STARS to the amazing staff at The Cicchetti wine bar.
There was a happy ending…the lovely dog was eventually safely repatriated...
Read moreMy partner and I had friends come to visit and we were very excited to take them here. Unfortunately the service we had was very rude, didn’t acknowledge anything we said and just stared at us when we politely asked for something which was a shame as usually it is good. The food was really disappointing. The prawn starters were cold and had to be sent back. The arancini was soggy. And the pasta didn’t have much taste to them. We have come before and the food was good however it was very quiet in the restaurant, tonight it was really busy and the food was poor as it was a few months ago also. We will be avoiding here on busy days as the quality of food goes down dramatically when it is busy. The portions however are incredibly generous, so if the food is good, then you’ll be very happy. I don’t want to discourage anyone from going, as I love that it is an independent restaurant in Earlsfield however maybe choose wisely when...
Read moreI'm Italian and the food exceeded expectations. We were expecting very small plates so ordered 3 each, but the portions were bigger than expected so we were very full. We had the parmigiana, bresaola, arancini, fried mozzarella, fried polenta and meatballs. I'm usually wary if ordering anything that's minced but thought I'd give them a go due to the reviews and they were spectacular. So was the texture of the arancini and most dishes came generously drowned in tasty tomato sauce. The only course we didn't care too much for was the fried polenta. The truffle mayo was a good touch but the crumbs didn't fit and looked a bit too yellow and not crispy enough. Polenta fries plenty well on its own so I though the coating was overkill. We did hoover up everything else though and the Montepulciano red...
