Coffee on the Corner — Restaurant in London

Been here a few times and it was really nice - decent coffee albeit a tad overpriced, think Starbucks prices. The place is clean and modern with a nice outside area to the front and rear and they even have board games on the tables for kids. The reason for the single star review is as follows... Came here not long ago for a couple of coffees and some gelato for the little ones. There was a customer standing at the counter waiting whilst his sandwich was being made. There was also another customer at the counter being served by the female barista, so I stood there and waited to be served whilst my family waited in the garden area. The barista acknowledged my presence as I approached and since every other customer at the counter had or was being served, it can't have been very difficult to distinguish at which point in the queue I was. So I waited there for a few minutes and in comes another patron and he stands beside me, his family take their seats. The customer in front of me gets their coffee and walks away. The barista looks straight at the new patron and asks what he would like, and then proceeds to take his order.... By this point I've been standing here for a good ten minutes maybe more - far too long for a couple of cups of coffee so I decided to leave and I'll never return. Shame though for a small business, as every customer counts (or should do at least)

I know democracy doesn't stand for much as of late but at least in establishments such as this I'm still allowed to vote with my feet, so...

Only visited once, so apologies if not the usual experience. The coffee was good, great quality and drinks made well. But I found the wait for drinks ridiculously long. There were 3 staff on, one serving, two making drinks and the drinks they were making fir the queue were not complicated, I know because I saw everyone that trickled out. They MUST learn how to serve drinks quicker. The service lacked personality and the opportunity to add a bit of atmosphere with some music was missed. In reality good coffee but the team just need to relax, getting quicker and show some personality... if they did it would be a 5 star...

Lovely atmosphere staff are polite and go out of their way to help you , I walk past with my dog everyday and often get a coffee hot chocolate is especially nice on a cold day making the walk so much enjoyable as a very dog friendly cafe they even have a board up with pictures of your pooches on ! Every year they sell real Christmas trees 🌲 I get now buy one second year they are good quality trees , when you purchase a Christmas tree you get a free hot drink of your choice ! The cafe makes my day a better day when on my walk with my pooch as located opposite a park and to the side fishponds ! I recommend...
