Sushi Hero — Restaurant in London

Big fan of their food and usually have a great experience. Visited yesterday at 5pm, the restaurant was empty and we were seated. We started looking at the menu and the waitress asked if we could move to the table by the looks, we asked if we could just stay where we were. She said they needed the table back at 7.30pm and we knew we would be gone by then. We still had our menus opens and we're clearly undecided when she approached us twice to take our order. We explained that we needed a few more minutes each time. This is often the case when people are ordering multiple dishes to share....? We couldn't understand why she was so annoyed. We ordered multiple dishes and they were great. We were not finished when she came to start clearing away the dishes. Like we were literally in the process of picking up food from the sharing plate and I explained we hadn't finished and she said she knew she was just clearing away the empty plates. She took my side plate away as well which meant I was finsihed too...? At 7.10 she said we needed to leave as they needed the table back, although the restaurant was empty apart from one family and no one was waiting....We said fine and paid the bill. Unsure for the reason for the rudeness but it did ruin what was meant to be a...

I ordered after reading many positive reviews and was really looking forward to trying the sushi. Unfortunately, my experience didn’t quite live up to the hype.

I ordered four rolls. We waited 30 minutes for our order, which would have been totally fine if the food had arrived fresh. However, the prawn katsu roll was cold and wasn’t crispy, and it didn’t taste particularly fresh—which was disappointing, especially after the wait.

The biggest letdown for me was the tuna roll as the tuna was spoilt. The texture was very slimy and the colour looked off—more of a brownish-grey than the usual vibrant red—so we couldn’t bring ourselves to eat it.

The salmon roll had a decent flavor, but the texture of the salmon was firmer than expected.

On a positive note, the service was very friendly.

I can’t recommend this place enough! I especially traveled to come here, and it was absolutely worth every mile. From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly welcoming, attentive, and made sure we had a fantastic dining experience.

Now, let’s talk about the food—WOW. Every bite was perfection! The sushi was fresh, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor. The crispy tempura roll had the perfect balance of crunch, creamy sauces, and delicate seasoning. The sashimi and nigiri were melt-in-your-mouth delicious, showcasing the highest quality fish.

Beyond the food, the attention to detail in both presentation and service made this a truly top-tier experience. If you’re a sushi lover, trust me—it’s worth making a trip for. I will definitely be coming back!...
