Prithi Cuisine — Restaurant in London

Disability accessible. Ground floor entrance. Toilets on the ground floor. Staff welcoming and excellent hosts, they were very attentive and we felt well cared for.. Clean and well organised. The food is fresh, delicious, and has a good portion. We had more than we could manage, and they provided takeaway trays so we could take it home. There are lots of options for vegetarians. They will also tailor your curry to your taste, i.e., add chillies, make it more spicy or hot for you.

The best bit was the trays that were provided with the poppadoms. The variety of choices and flavours were really good. Best chutneys and presentation ever.

The restaurant is on the main road with bus stops, which is good. They provide takeaways and plenty of seating for cosy small tables or large groups. We went early so and it was not full but it got busier as the evening went on.

One thing I like is to listen to is Indian music, which adds to my experience of the culture and atmosphere. However, the music was cheesy pop like Taylor Swift, but it was not distracting.

The worst ever food i have had in my entire life. Last night we ordered butter Naan, chicken tandoori, veg masala and chicken lolipop. There was no difference between the chicken and the veg gravy, except the level of extra chilly powder added and chicken. I don't think they prepared the Naan, it was like the frozen naan or the one we buy from Sainsbury's. Next the tandoori chicken, i was really hoping it to be good, but comparing all the other worst dishes, it was the average one. See the photos added, does it even look like a chicken lolipop? There were only 4 pieces, fine leave the number of pieces, of the taste had been good i wouldn't be writing this big review. Even I can make a better food them. My friend told me not to give bad reviews, how about giving had foods to the customer? Have these guys ever tasted their food? Does the chef even know how to cook? We were totally disappointed with the food last night. I usually don't give bad reviews and especially the one near to our place. We literally live opposite to the restaurant. I am baffled to see how this restaurant got 4.5 rating? Am never trying this again...

Prithi is back in business and thank God. After having to shut down because of a fire they are back open. Whilst closed we tried three different local curry houses and none of them were a patch on Prithi. What ever curry we order we always have the Chicken tikka'd as you will not get better bbq chicken. The tandoor chef is a master the spicing is spot on and the cooking is superb, the chicken is always moist. Believe me after trying three other curry houses and each one over cooked the chicken you come to appreciate how good Prithi is. The Prithi Tikka Massala, Chicken Tikka Pathia were all excellent and each sauce tasting different, the onion bhaji crisp and perfect, the Brinjal bhaji was cooked spot on. We have eaten and had takeaways from Prithi for decades and so glad they deliver to us in Chessington, being closed has just reminded us how...
