Update after restaurant reply: Dear Crystal Restaurant, I'm shocked to and disgusted that you are unable to own up a bad review just because the service and food was not what I expected and you have to make up a lie by saying that I asked for something for free. Due to the fact that is been less than one month since my last visit I'm sure you have the CCTV footage and we can gladly watch it together as my only interaction with staff was waving for recept sign and the my card touching the Pos machine to pay If you are confusing me with someone else I accept your apology and if no,then I feel sorry for you and your clients as you need to justify a negative review by creating a false story and reply. I will call later on this week to pass my number if you want to confront me with your "complimentary desserts" stoty Please avoid! I'm writing this review while I'm still sitting in this restaurant. This experience was absolutely laughable. Worst Turkish restaurant from Wood Green. Food extremely salty,oily and honestly still hungry after eating. No salad as used to,just a drop of hummus (with no decoration or olive oil drizzle) ,few slices of bread and some sour cream and cucumber dip. 4 extremely small lamb chops ( without bone will be less than 150 gr ) We used to come here almost 4-5 times in a year but this will be our last time. This place is hosting large very loud gatherings with no attempt to manage the situation.

We were sat next to the large group after confirming to the server I needed somewhere a bit quieter. They were at the back near in front of the toilets.

Management took no responsibility for managing noise levels or our safety (rule of six). Rather confirmed they were in a difficult position as they the would not get paid if they asked them to quiet down or not mingle. But why are they seating them in the first place?

The noise levels were deafening and we were not even able to have a conversation during our meal. When I asked for management they attended to the large group rather than to my table for the first time that evening.

I then had to again ask for the manager and no apology or discount provided for their lack of ability to control the group or for seating them in the first place. He did say that he would refuse service to groups again. And then proceeded to seat another group of 8 before we paid our bill.

The behaviour of the manager was highly unprofessional as he not only refused to give his name he told me to use the name on the receipt. When confronted that that was not him, he told me several other names that he himself said he made up.

The chef’s behind the counter are so rude and agressif , tried to ask a for a manager I was told he’s off that day. Then I realised that those type of places they operate in not caring and protecting each other. In fact the waiter looked more scared from the chef’s then me. Totally unacceptable to feel threatened by those machos. Never go back . Yes I have had food there and I wasn’t criticising food I was worried about the agressif behaviour of the chef’s behind the counter. After finishing eating today I couldn’t finish my plate so because I was running late to be somewhere I stood up and I took my plate to counter to be put in a takeout box . When I asked the first person in front of me if I could pay and get my leftovers out I was met with the worst response you could imagine. The chef’s pointed at me with his finger in a very rude and agressif manner that I shouldn’t do that which I still don’t understand what I did wrong! He said go back to your table and wait for your request. The place was quiet so I didn’t think that I was putting pressure on them. I asked that that’s no way he should talk to me.
