🍽️ Capital Restaurant: A Taste of Turkish Treasure! 🇹🇷✨
We had an unforgettable dining experience at Capital Restaurant at Wood Green that was truly Turkish 🇹🇷 delight! From the moment we sipped our refreshing drinks, we knew we were in for a treat.
🍹 Drinks: We kicked things off with a refreshing 🍓Strawberry Virgin Mojito and🍹a Tropical Crush that were crush-ing it! These drinks were a fruity, fizzy way to start our meal and were a sip-erb way to start our evening, setting the tone for a feast full of flavor. 🍓🍍
🍞 Pita Bread & Salad: We were welcomed with warm, fluffy pita bread and a fresh, zesty salad - talk about a start that set the bar high! The pita was so soft, it practically melted in our mouths, and the salad was crisp and refreshing. It was the perfect prelude to a meal filled with culinary delights.
🍗 Chicken Beyti: The Chicken Beyti was beyti-ful and spice-tacular! This spicy marinated mince chicken, seasoned with garlic and grilled over charcoal, was the real star of the show. Served with rice, it was a dish worth clucking about! 🔥🍚
🦑 Calamari: Our calamari was squid-tacular! Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, paired with a tangy tartar sauce. It was a real catch of the day!
The highlight of our evening was the exceptional service from Melek and Can (if we’ve got your names right!). Their friendliness made our first experience with Turkish cuisine even more special.
🌟 Melek: She’s the queen of smiles! Melek's warm, genuine smiles were more than just eye candy - they were a real treat for the soul. Her kindness was so heartfelt, it was like a smile from the heart was on the menu and it was like she was serving happiness on a plate. 😄💖
🌟 Can: Talk about calm and collected - Can was the epitome of serenity! His soothing demeanor and thoughtful explanations of the dishes made our meal all the more enjoyable. He was so cool under pressure, he should be called Can-do! 😎👌
Together, Melek and Can made our first Turkish food experience a true delight. Their exceptional service was the cherry on top of a wonderful meal, making us feel right at home. 🍒💫
Dessert was the creamy, dreamy Turkish Rice Pudding - a sweet ending that truly pud-ding our taste buds in a happy place. 🍚 And just when we thought it couldn’t get better, Melek treated us to some traditional Turkish tea, rounding off the evening perfectly. 🍵 Melek’s warm Turkish Tea was the cherry on top of our first Turkish food experience. 🍵❤️
With a warm and comforting atmosphere, beautiful food presentation, and top-notch service, Capital Restaurant delivered a true dining experience. We’ll definitely be back for another taste of Turkish hospitality! 🇹🇷

Read moreI used to enjoy eating at this place but after tonight I will never eat there again. The staff there are always extremely snotty and rude but I'm not fussy so I usually tolerate it. Tonight was a disgrace though. Utterly atrocious service, I never leave reviews but the waiter tonight was such an arsehole that I feel the need to.
First of all our complimentary starters (the only reason I tolerate their crappy burgers) arrived looking completely different to usual and completely different to everybody else's, everyone had large bowls of salad and we had a tiny plate, also everybody else had baskets of lovely fresh bread and we had horrid burnt ones, I've never been served anything close to as burnt. The waiter obviously did it on purpose because he didn't like us asking for a different table to the one we had been offered, simply because we didn't want to sit on a 6-seater with 4 complete strangers just so that the restaurant didn't want us taking up a 4-seater. There were plenty of tables free.
Anyway when I asked why I was told that we got smaller starters because I ordered a chicken burger and the chicken burgers always come with salad, and that other people had ordered kebabs and things like that which was supposedly why all the other (older, richer looking) couples had proper starters and we had burnt crap. This is the stupidest thing I have ever heard. All the kebabs are served with salad, even more than with the burgers. Also every single time I've eaten there I've ordered the same thing and always had the same starter as everybody else. The guy was just being a passive aggressive douche. I'm always polite when I go in there and there was no reason for them to be so rude, they just either didn't like the look of us or they were unhappy that we asked if we could have a table different to the one offered. Pricks. We both completely lost our appetites after that and had a...
Read moreI visited this restaurant with a friend in the early hours of the morning, as it's one of his favourites and he wanted me to try their food. I can easily see why it's one of his favourite restaurants. Fantastically friendly, welcoming and accommodating staff. We sat outside to eat where there are heaters available. I'd have just as happily sat inside as the decor was tasteful and elegant. I haven't eaten a lot of Turkish food before but I will be in future. The hot pitta with the hummous and dip was wonderful as was the pickled salad. The main event, the stew was out of this world. Beautifully tender lamb shank and chicken combined with the hors d'oeuvres was mind blowing. The potatoes and carrots from the stew were flavoured right through with the meat and stock. It was all nicely finished off with tea and baklava which were superb. Pricing was also reasonable. The facilities were spotlessly clean and beautifully finished. I could not find a single fault with this restaurant and it's opening hours were fantastic for those enjoying the night life. A 5* hygeine rating is on display as well. Wheelchair users should find the ground level access accomodating. If I could give more than 5 stars I would gladly!
Just to edit my review and add some more pictures after another wonderful visit. The same phenomenal service as last time. We had a kebab meal, moussaka, a chicken dish served with chips, two single Amarettos and the wonderful baklava and tea again. Of course accompanied by the complementary salad, pitta and dips. The grand total of this feast for...
