DD's Cafe, Coulsdon, one of the few Chinese run Greasy Spoons. A long-standing establishment that was once a tea house, caught my attention due to its Chinese ownership hints on Google and its eclectic menu featuring udon alongside traditional breakfast items. [To date, I have only dined in four Chinese run spoons in London]. The cafe which is in a converted house added to its charm with the dining area in a living room. I like small businesses and use them a lot. I met Steve ( actual name is Sean but everyone e calls him Steve) the owner and his wife Chi (Clare) about 11 years ago. Regularly stop for a breakfast and cup of tea. I like tge little homely touches. I have brought in customers many times for them but not left a review as yet. I always go for the British menu but Sean does cook Chinese to. You will understand better when you get there. EASY, FRIENDLY AND ACCOMMODATING. If coming by car parking in Coulsdon a huge problem now as they built on the biggest one just around thr corner...

A lovely spot in Coulsdon! The cafe has a charming, traditional ambiance that makes you feel at home right away. The owners are warm and welcoming, polite and genuinely friendly, which really adds to the experience. They serve good, honest food at very reasonable prices – no frills, just quality meals that hit the spot. Service is excellent, and you can tell they care about their customers.
