DAYLIGHT ROBBERY IM AFRIAD! The first time I came here was when my son was 3 months old. Tilapa and yam fries were £20, and the fries were served in a fries holder. When I returned when he was 7 months old, the same dish was £25 and significantly smaller. With approximately 5 fries on the side of the plate, as pictured. The Talpia was not fresh, and the beef starter was hot in some places and stone cold in others. So clearly not fresh and not defosted well in the microwave. The chef checked by sticking her knuckle in the food... I was given plantain chips while it was heated more... But the reason I won't return is because we were charged £8 for a side of soggy plantains covered in oil. Straight from the pan to the plate. Which is a clear rip off. Just how much is one plantain? We had to share a fish, as there was only one left. This was not communicated to us until only one came out of the kitchen, despite ordering two. Service was poor, 1 tissue between two. We had to ask for cutlery. Everything was delayed, and we were the only people in the restaurant. Fix your pricing, portion size, and hospitality, or I fear you won't be here much longer as your loyal customers will not return. Your competitors, ENISH AND 84 WEST, have been around longer and have mastered service, pricing, and hospitality, so even if the price increases, it's justifiable. However, as you are just starting out and trying to run before crawling and robbing your customers, this method will not work.

Heard about Demi's and had to try it. We had a party of 9, and the restaurant was largely empty, so we had both waiters attending to us. There was a DJ playing good videos, but the music was so loud that we had to shout to have a conversation. The food was EXCELLENT, especially the Abula! I'd also recommend the Dun Dun. The Fried rice was delicious, much better than their Jollof. The Gizdodo was fabulous too. They offer a variety of great dishes. The place is cute, with the obligatory Instagram-friendly grass wall outside. The service was friendly and came with a smile. The only downside was the food took ages to arrive, which was surprising since the restaurant wasn't busy; it was basically us and another table the whole evening. The Croker fish took almost 2 hours. They need to streamline the menu, maybe offering certain dishes on specific days and focus on prepping food rather than cooking everything from scratch, which would be more efficient. I'd definitely return, but only with a party of 2 (3 max) because they don't seem to be able to handle large groups as yet.

I had the pleasure of dining here recently and was truly impressed. The jollof rice and chicken were absolutely delicious flavorful, well-seasoned, and perfectly cooked. The plantain was fresh, light, and a wonderful complement to the dish. There was a small hiccup with my order, but Valatine, the host, handled it with such patience and kindness. He was incredibly accommodating and made me feel genuinely welcome. Honestly, his warmth and professionalism would be the main reason I return top-tier hospitality. Stella, the head chef, deserves major praise. Her food speaks for itself authentic, comforting, and made with care. The background music added a lovely vibe, and even though I dined alone, the setting was cozy and family-friendly. I didn’t feel uncomfortable for a second. Thanks again for the hospitality. I’ll definitely be back with friends next time!

Thank you Demi’s for a joyful afternoon.

I was at Demi’s for the first time on Saturday with a group of about 20-22 people. The food took about an hour to start coming but once the dishes started being served, they came quite quickly after that. I have been to other Nigerian restaurants in London of a similar level (we are not talking 5 star or Michelin) where it has taken the same 1 hour for food to arrive for us as a group of 4 or even 2. The staff at Demi’s were friendly and accommodating, they gladly turned down the music when we asked because we had gathered there to have a family and friends catch-up and wanted to talk without having to compete with the music.

The food arrived hot and tasty and we never felt rushed or under pressure to free up the tables. Yes, there were a couple of items on the menu that were not available but having been blessed with the opportunity to visit many (non Nigerian) restaurants in UK and abroad (some of which are considered ‘high-end’, it is not the first time I have been told an item on the menu is currently not available. The menu at Demi’s is quite extensive and so there was an opportunity to find tasty alternatives.

One of my suggestion’s would be that the waiting staff remember to ask for out drinks options as soon as possible (maybe as soon guests sit down, whilst they are reviewing the menu) and that the drinks get served quickly. I would also recommend that they keep coming to check on their guests asking if they are ok or need anything else whilst waiting for their food.

Having said all that, I will visit Demi’s again and will (and already have) recommend it to people I know especially as I found their pricing to...

Firstly thanks for opening your restaurant and giving those living in the NW areas more options to eat West african cuisine . So since Demi’s Cricklewood opened this is my sixth time ordering It’s been 50/50. A bit more attention to some details will take their food to the next level. I have ordered 4 Takeaways and 2 Eat in . Food- I have ordered swallow + efo riro (6/10) (Needs a bit more flavour. Peppersoup ( 6/10)( Ok but could also do with a bit more flavour) whole Tilapia fish & Plantain (6/10) - Very big fish quite impressed with it but please season the peppers on it , the plantain that came with it was literally 6 pieces please guys for such a large fish 6 pieces of plantain for the cost of the meal really not good enough. Fried rice -(5/10) frozen veg doesn’t quite taste as good just tasted bland and soggy, at least season it , tasted like a bit of curry powder and veg was just added to white rice and stir fried . Abula (7/10) -This was very impressive . The amala was very smooth, the stew was the right spice and tasted nice the ewedu and gbegiru was also good .

Service - Eat In service , always been very good. Although have only been there late after 8pm but not I had no complaints . Takeaway Service - Only issue is sometimes they don’t pick up the phone calls i.e when you order on deliveroo and trying to call the restaurant. Also times I ordered takeaway i requested for cutlery and both times it was omitted . This was particularly annoying as I was usually in a hotel as I do not live in the area .

Atmosphere -...

Cricklewood restaurant Unfortunately, for a celebration meal we didn't have such a great experience. Though our table waiter was lovely and seemed to be the only one serving the entire restaurant (think we saw one other person serving) whilst there were ample staff. The overall service was not great. Our food was pre-ordered, though you wouldn't have thought it with how slow it came out and at times meals forgotten. I ordered the the beef suya, which was dry and suya powder on the side and not within the dish. The Jollof rice was cold and plantain definitely not fresh, it seemed it had been cooked, chilled and then warmed in a microwave so was dry and hard. Even though, as the main course finally arrived at 9.30pm (we arrived at 7pm), with some guests having to pack and take away. Though we asked for the dessert for the whole table to be brought straight away .I didn't even get my dessert. The team had not asked whole table individually for their dessert but one person, who said one for him alone. And in addition, we were filmed and pictures taken without our consent. I will be contacting the restaurant directly to ensure that no images of myself or party are posted anywhere. The next door large booking seemed to be having the same experience. All I'm all, I think a party of 2 on a quiet day would have a lovely time with delicious food as per the other reviews. But alas, I think taking on several large bookings at the same time was the error here. Which made the birthdays girls evening not...
