Top Wok — Restaurant in London

I thought I would try Top Wok because they have been on Cricklewood Broadway for some years. I presumed, they must be turning out reasonably good, tasty, food because they have managed to keep trading, even though, so many take-aways, on the Broadway, have come and gone. I wish I had read the reviews (although mixed), before ordering from them. I was very disappointed with the food which was delivered. Of the take-away, which arrived, some of the portions were extremely small and two of the dishes were not as ordered. I found the food very greasy with an odd 'aftertaste'. Having now read the reviews, I note some people have given them five stars and an equal number appear to have given them one star. Everyone to their own, I guess. Sadly, my experience was not so much Top Wok but...

We always liked this place, but in the last few months it has gone up a level and become our favourite Chinease takeaway in the area.

Before it was a bit of a lottery, with some things tasting better than others depending on the day, but now food is consistently great and has actually improved compared to a few months ago. It always tastes fresh, and never too sweet, salty or greasy.

It might not be the most authentic Chinese food, but its ideal comfort food. Even teheted leftovers from a takeaway here taste decent, that's how you know they use fresh...

Ordered several dishes, chicken skewers satay perfect. Beef in blackbean sauce was nice and soft and taste so flavourful and fresh. If you want a proper chinese dont order from anywhere else. Everythings fresh as can be the flavours are fantastic. Ive struggled for years to find somewhere like this! Oh and the coke came ice cold i knew it was going to be good from reviews but it was so nice ive bothered to take the time to write a review. 55 mins delivery from ordering which is acceptable. Ill be back for sure the banana...
