Dolce Dessert & Cafe — Restaurant in London

Disappointed. I thought that because it is an Italian Cafe that the standard of the food would be better. I ordered a Veggie breakfast, which online is advertised as £8 something and when I got there was charged £10.50. I thought to myself 'oh well it ought to be good then?'.. But no. I only got one egg and one Veggie sausage!! Outrageous! Also the veggie sausage was that cheap potato type that you by in bulk from frozen, really naff and all fried in cheap oil... the hash brown tasted full of additives and oil and the bread we cheap white... also cheap beans and ketchup which tastes full of chemicals and not at all as fresh and tasty as heinze! I calculated that my plate probably cost £1 in cheap ingredients and so being charged £10.50 is a complete rip off.... so sad. The staff are nice and the Caffè is clean and tidy but the food is well below par especially for the price! What is the world...

Food: Looks good, and pricing isn't unreasonable. A lot of it is unlabeled, so good luck! Seems lots of the menu stops early.

Service: The worse I've experienced. I was looking at the hot food options on the screens at around 4PM, and the lady behind the counter just turned them off. Didn't say a single word to me. Barely acknowledged me, while chewing gum. I mentioned to the person I was with that I'm not sure if I can have some of these, and they didn't even respond - no attempt to ask, engage, or interact. When I asked what was available, was told "what's out" and nothing more. Honestly astounded at the lack of service for a small independant café like this.

Atmosphere: Place is nice and clean, music playing, nice and bright. Feels quite warm, but with the poor service, it brings the atmosphere down...

I had a very disappointing experience. I wanted to treat my colleagues and manager at this place. I ordered a chocolate chip milkshake for myself, but what I received was a light grey drink. When I inquired about it, I was told it was chocolate, even though it didn't look or taste like it. When I tried to exchange it, the staff impatiently asked ‘ what do you want, your money back?!’ which I agreed, and as he slowly piled 10p coins on top of each other on the counter (even though I had paid with a card), he made a rude comment in front of my colleague, saying, "Next time, you should look."
