Great Food, Amazing Value
This is a great little restaurant serving extremely good food. The lunch time menu is just Ā£11.95 for two courses and is amazing value. I recently had lunch there with a friend and she was very impressed. She had the goatās cheese bruschetta and I had the lamb kebabs with Greek salad, which were very good. For our main courses, we both had the sea bass with prawns and mussels which was delicious. The owners have done their best to make the restaurant welcoming but it still lacks a bit of character. However this is more than compensated by the quality of the dishes on offer. Our shared and generous antipasti starter followed by steak pie and beef stroganoff were first class. The apple strudel is the best weāve tasted and the crime brĆ»lĆ©e perfect, not served ice cold from the fridge. The menu is well balanced and service friendly and efficient. Not the cheapest place to eat in Dorking but well worth it for the great dishes on offer. They are extremely friendly and helpful. Overall, it is something of a hidden gem. From the outside appearance, you might think that it is a Chinese restaurant, (not that there is anything wrong with Chinese food) but the cuisine is actually modern British. The restaurant was very quiet on the day we visited and with food that good, we were surprised that the place wasnāt heaving with customers. If you find yourself in Dorking, please give Dynasty a try, you will not be...

We visited Dynasty last night and whilst the food was tasty, the bill left a sour taste.
For our visit we opted against the 'All you can eat' and decided to order a few items off the menu. The menu we were given had all the prices redacted but you could still see through it and we had also checked out the menu online before our visit so had a good idea of what the prices should be. The meal was nice and service pretty quick however when the bill came we were left a little suprised. All the dishes were a few £ more expensive than we had expected and what the prices listed online and for takeaway were, for example the egg fried rice was £4 and a pint of beer was £8. Given the portion sizes it didn't really feel worth it and a lot more expensive than other similar restaurants near by. It seems the restaurant is trying to encourage everyone to go for the "all you can eat' at £25 per head rather than wanting people to just order a few items. This place is great value if you want the buffet option or takeaway but definitely doesn't feel good value for just a quick simple meal. If we had known the prices upfront we definitely would have reconsidered. Overall left a bit of a bad feeling after what had been a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe used to enjoy eating dynasty food, loved the salt and pepper prawns even though it was quite expensive but didnāt mind spending the money. That was back a few years ago however god noās what has happened either they changed the chef or they just donāt care but I can tell you now itās horrible.. no taste no flavour and not even the prawns are made right, over cooked and half the batter falling off. We used to order almost every other week and my daughter being a great cook herself was so upset that her favourite dishes were completely different and tasteless that now just wonāt order again. What a shame considering there are so many restaurants in South Woodford and out of all of them this Dynasty restaurant was probably the best one, and now I can say itās probably not going to be the best but just another ordinary restaurant like all the other ones around.. sorry but a big thumbs...
