Such a lovely Chinese restaurant. Delicious food, affordable and such lovely service from the lady and the gentleman. The egg fried rice was light and perfect, not the dry brown hard oily grains you get at other takeaways. We also ordered lamb in black bean sauce and chilli chilli prawns. We were welcomed with complementary prawn crackers and our water was topped up kindly with ice. It has the old school Chinese restaurant decor which I love and brings nostalgia so really nice that they haven’t modernised it however I normally love the original Chinese restaurant love music they used to have but that is a minor minor niggle as compared to how yummy the food was and how exceptionally lovely the staff were. We felt so welcome and cosy. They do takeaway too so I will definitely keep coming

Superb place for Chinese food. All food at all you can eat section is being cooked when it's ordered, so you never receive soggy food. We had chicken soup which was amazing. Great consistency and flavour. Second dish was duck with pancakes also well seasoned and crispy, so perfect with pancakes. Third dish were pork and chicken stir fry both of them were very good. Both pork and chicken meat were tender and very well seasoned. Souce was very nice and had a good kick. Noodles were very good not soggy. Now moving to staff. Staff were very friendly and nice. Each time you finished your meal they would come collect dishes and provide a menu. Overall great all you can eat place.

I'm a Taiwanese and I absolutely love the flavour and taste of their food. I think the flavoir is quite authentic, although flavour is a very objective preference. Anyway, we went there to celebrate my sister's birthday with the family, recommended by my sister-in-law who has come back for the restaurant for multiple times. The service was really great, they are very polite, humble and respectful. We went with the all-you-can-eat option (£28 per person, half price for kids) and it is really divine 🤤 I would definitely come back again. We went there at 2pm on a Sunday.

Great Food, Amazing Value

This is a great little restaurant serving extremely good food. The lunch time menu is just Ā£11.95 for two courses and is amazing value. I recently had lunch there with a friend and she was very impressed. She had the goat’s cheese bruschetta and I had the lamb kebabs with Greek salad, which were very good. For our main courses, we both had the sea bass with prawns and mussels which was delicious. The owners have done their best to make the restaurant welcoming but it still lacks a bit of character. However this is more than compensated by the quality of the dishes on offer. Our shared and generous antipasti starter followed by steak pie and beef stroganoff were first class. The apple strudel is the best we’ve tasted and the crime brĆ»lĆ©e perfect, not served ice cold from the fridge. The menu is well balanced and service friendly and efficient. Not the cheapest place to eat in Dorking but well worth it for the great dishes on offer. They are extremely friendly and helpful. Overall, it is something of a hidden gem. From the outside appearance, you might think that it is a Chinese restaurant, (not that there is anything wrong with Chinese food) but the cuisine is actually modern British. The restaurant was very quiet on the day we visited and with food that good, we were surprised that the place wasn’t heaving with customers. If you find yourself in Dorking, please give Dynasty a try, you will not be...

Greater transparency over prices needed!

We visited Dynasty last night and whilst the food was tasty, the bill left a sour taste.

For our visit we opted against the 'All you can eat' and decided to order a few items off the menu. The menu we were given had all the prices redacted but you could still see through it and we had also checked out the menu online before our visit so had a good idea of what the prices should be. The meal was nice and service pretty quick however when the bill came we were left a little suprised. All the dishes were a few £ more expensive than we had expected and what the prices listed online and for takeaway were, for example the egg fried rice was £4 and a pint of beer was £8. Given the portion sizes it didn't really feel worth it and a lot more expensive than other similar restaurants near by. It seems the restaurant is trying to encourage everyone to go for the "all you can eat' at £25 per head rather than wanting people to just order a few items. This place is great value if you want the buffet option or takeaway but definitely doesn't feel good value for just a quick simple meal. If we had known the prices upfront we definitely would have reconsidered. Overall left a bit of a bad feeling after what had been a...

We used to enjoy eating dynasty food, loved the salt and pepper prawns even though it was quite expensive but didn’t mind spending the money. That was back a few years ago however god no’s what has happened either they changed the chef or they just don’t care but I can tell you now it’s horrible.. no taste no flavour and not even the prawns are made right, over cooked and half the batter falling off. We used to order almost every other week and my daughter being a great cook herself was so upset that her favourite dishes were completely different and tasteless that now just won’t order again. What a shame considering there are so many restaurants in South Woodford and out of all of them this Dynasty restaurant was probably the best one, and now I can say it’s probably not going to be the best but just another ordinary restaurant like all the other ones around.. sorry but a big thumbs...
