Efes Restaurant delivers an authentic Turkish dining experience that stands out both in flavour and atmosphere. From the moment you walk in, you're welcomed with warm hospitality and the inviting aroma of grilled meats and spices.
The mixed grill platter is a must-try — perfectly seasoned lamb, chicken, and kofte cooked over an open flame, served with fluffy rice and fresh salad. Their mezze selection is also excellent; the hummus, baba ghanoush, and dolma are bursting with flavour and served with warm, fresh bread. If you're a fan of seafood, their grilled sea bass is tender and cooked to perfection.
The portions are generous, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality. The decor is simple yet elegant, with Turkish music softly playing in the background, creating a cozy, welcoming vibe.
What really makes Efes shine is the service. The staff are friendly, attentive, and genuinely seem to care that you have a good experience. Whether you’re out for a casual lunch or celebrating a special occasion, they make you feel at home.
Highly recommended for anyone craving authentic Turkish cuisine in a relaxed and enjoyable setting. I’ll definitely be returning!

Read moreI'm sure the food is great, but our family tried to make a table booking on a Friday for the following evening, to which we were told "you can't book for 3, but if you phone half an hour before then we'll see if we can get you a table." On Saturday we did as asked, phoned and said we hoped to turn up in about half an hour, was that ok? The person on the phone said "yes, yes, you can come."
So we turn up half an hour later and are asked if we have a booking (bearing in mind we had previously been told you CANNOT book for 3), and because we didn't have one, we were told that the wait will be around 35 minutes.
We asked why this was the case when we'd followed all of their instructions and one member of staff just kept saying "I told you we can't promise anything", and everybody denied that they'd answered the phone to us half an hour prior, and told us to come in.
They were very dismissive, kept talking over the top of us, and so we went to Saltanat over the road instead. The atmosphere was better, the staff much more welcoming, and the food was impeccable (and they offer a hassle-free booking system, should you wish to...
Read moreWas pleasantly surprised with this restaurant, the drinks, the food and the service was pretty good. Felt like the waiter was a little distant to begin the meal but as we got our order and kept interacting he was nicer and accommodating. Love that you can see into the kitchen space and observe how they cooking your meal, it’s very entertaining. We started off with the hummus and falafel starters and they were both great. The falafel were crispy, crunchy and just plain out amazing. The hummus itself was tasteful and done properly but the bread was a little strange. They gave two types of bread, one that came with a lightly braised with a red sauce and one plain. The plain ones were far superior but they charged separately for that one but if you can change it to start off then you’re enjoy the hummus a lot more in my opinion. The main dish was alright went with the chicken and lamb skewers and both had great flavor but a little tough and dry. The mocktails were amazing though a mate of mine had two and he almost kept going. Beautiful interior too to take many pictures and show off on the IG. Nice place though and well...
