Ordered via Deliveroo. Family deal which is £44 for 2 pizzas, a starter and desert as well as the carbonara pasta at £12 extra. With service charge and delivery it's a £60 order.
Now what I received was shocking. Everything was cold. They completely forgot one pizza which costs £15. Other £15 pizza which did come was cold and undercooked. Stodgy, chewy and bland it had to be cooked by us (not reheated). Paid extra for avacado and 3 slices where provided? 4 cold and hard aranchini balls at £7 as starter that ended up being given to the dog. Then the smallest slice of generic prepackaged cheesecake as desert for the remaining order total of £44.. Additional £12 pasta was oily, sauce had separated, no cheese and no meat in sauce. Freezing cold and not even half container full. It wasn't worth a fraction of £60. It was late at night but don't accept orders if your going to send out food you clearly did not care for. Especially for what you charge! Your customers expect a level of quality and if you can't be bothered to meet those expectations than refuse the service. Might frustrate us in that moment but chances are we would try again in future. Must be better than loosing a potential regular customer all together?
You Completly missed one large item and gave us half portions of nonsense on everything else. 3 slices of avacado on an undercooked and cold pizza. After it was actually cooked and got a crisp on the crust as well as some olive oil, salt, pepper & additional home touches it was nice. But why did we have to do that ourselves? This wasn't the case last time!
I'll always choose this type or Italian over a takeaway type pizza and Im happy to pay more for that quality. However not this time.
My son was so upset and hungry we had to order from a takeaway which actually exceeded expectations and was everything we would have expected from somewhere like this.
No second chance from me either. I ate tin soup instead of this! Son tried pasta but hated it same as me which has never happened before. The starter was given to the dog because they where inedible. You get that many things wrong and charge that much with no effort to rectify? Doesn't matter if we are the last order of the day or first. If you can't bother to respect what your sending out please refuse the orders. Only thing that wasn't bad on arrival was cheesecake but again it was a generic, prepacked item. Would have expected better for price realistically even for this. We did get a pot of sauce unexpectedly but it wasn't tried or used so no comment for that.
Please do not do this to another customer in future. Our experience was awful. 2nd time ordering but never again. I wouldn't chance it as I'm pregnant and can't risk undercooked and questionable food. First experience was a good one but customers expect that same quality in every order. If you can't be bothered please do not accept the order. You've now lost a customer that would have ordered time and time again and spread the word... If wasn't just one thing. There where issues with everything.
Sad and disappointed this place didn't meet the mark set out in...
Read moreVisited Zzetta Soul Fired Pizza at 110 Barking Road in East London and had such a lovely experience. The ambience is warm, cosy and perfect for lunch or dinner with friends. The staff are genuinely friendly and welcoming, which really adds to the charm of the place.
What we ordered:
🥯Burrata Cheese with Spicy Salad and Freshly Baked Pita Bread Everything about this dish was fresh and full of flavour. The burrata was creamy, the rocket leaves and cherry tomatoes added a refreshing touch, and the balsamic glaze brought everything together beautifully. The pita bread was warm and flaky, and adding a little of the chili oil from the table made it even better.
🍸Raspberry Mocktail and Classic Mojito Both drinks were light and refreshing. The raspberry mocktail had a lovely fruity tang, and the mojito was crisp with just the right balance of mint and lime.
🍴Zzetta Meal for Two - Lunch Combo (£41.95) We went during lunch hours (11:30 AM to 4:30 PM), and this combo was such great value. It includes one starter, two 12-inch pizzas or one 20-inch half and half, a dessert or shake, and drinks. It works out to about £21 per person, which is fantastic for the quality and portion size.
🍃🥜🍕Pesto Chicken Pizza If there is one thing you should try from the menu, it is this pizza. It is easily one of the best I have had. The pesto is made in-house, fresh and full of flavour, and every bite tastes perfect.
🍕🍖Le Festa de Carne Pizza This one is for meat lovers. It comes with chicken and beef sausage. It was hearty and filling, though the sausage had a slightly different flavour than expected. Still a good option if you enjoy rich flavours.
🍮Tiramisu A lovely way to end the meal. It was soft, creamy and not too sweet, just the right finish.
Overall thoughts: Everything was fresh, served hot and full of flavour. The service was quick, and the place has such a warm and positive atmosphere. I would definitely recommend Zzetta Soul Fired Pizza to anyone looking for an affordable and cosy Italian restaurant in East London. My top recommendation is the Pesto Chicken Pizza, it was...
Read moreStandout cocktails and a deceptively delicious starter set the tone, but the once-excellent mushroom pizza disappointed, and the brownie missed the mark entirely.
I recently revisited one of my go-to spots for mushroom truffle pizza—this time opting to dine in rather than grab it to go.
Starter: Went with the Montanara—twisted dough sticks served with Parmesan and a tomato basil sauce. Simple, yes, but surprisingly delicious - the dough was perfectly crisped.
Mains: Naturally, I ordered the Wild Mushroom Pizza—a long-time favourite. Sadly, this time it didn’t live up to its former glory. It arrived light on mushrooms and missing the right hit of truffle oil. I asked for extra oil, which they kindly provided, but didn’t feel comfortable requesting more mushrooms. Disappointing, especially since this pizza was the main reason I returned. In the past, it came generously topped and beautifully balanced with truffle oil. The Mediterranean Artichoke Salad was fine.
Dessert: The brownie was a letdown—too thin, not gooey, and overwhelmed by a sweet chocolate sauce that felt more like a disguise than a drizzle. A good brownie should be bold and gooey, not buried. That said, the vanilla ice cream on the side was a win—tasty!
Drinks: Cocktails were the highlight. The Aperol Spritz and Margarita were both spot-on.
Service: Generally warm and attentive. They checked in, offered sauce top-ups, and were sweet throughout. I did have to get up to order dessert, which broke the flow a bit, but overall the waitresses were nice and sweet.
Overall: A mixed experience. The starters and cocktails impressed, and the service had a gentle charm. But the main dish—once a standout—fell short this time, and dessert didn’t quite deliver.
