Figli Del Vesuvio — Restaurant in London

Someone (username: Loki) posted a menu from 4 months ago, if you go to the restaurant they have the same menu however some copies of the menus have a sticker stating "+20% VAT" whereas some do not state this.

VAT at other shops and restaurants is included with the price and it feels that we were being essentially charged a compulsory service charge of 20%! The receipt was also hand written, didn't list the VAT and the staff member took it.

Checking on Loki's photo of the menu and looking at our banking charge we were charged 20% extra on top of the menu prices.

The only other place you don't pay VAT included in the price is Costco - where it is expressly added to each price for each item rather the total of the bill. We definitely felt this was upcharging for going on a quieter day of the week or just a way to avoid stating they have a service charge - especially since 4 months ago they didn't charge this.

Anyway food was okay but some items could have done with additional seasoning. For the price paid it was a novelty but you could get the same quality level but buying a counter...

Went on this restaurant 2 times First time amazing Second time the wrost experience in my live . Waiting 54 minutes to get past primavera and garlic bread with mozzarella . After 47 minutes my Mrs was served and I still waiting for my past after after 7 more minutes finally my past arrived but without mozzarella and avocado , when I ask them about the ingredients they just say sorry but we don't have them today . Conclusion my Mrs didn't finish her meal and I send my past back . The lady who does the tables waitress she was completely lost . We ask for drinks she bring the drinks no glasses them she bring one glass after 5 minutes she bring another one . Well not recommend to anyone on busy times .

The restaurant itself is pretty basic, and the location right on the main road isn't the most pleasant either, however the quality of the pizzas is superb. in terms of the base and crust, this place beats bravi ragazzi, azurri, adomme and Franco manca (which I would rate in that order). Their ability to achieve a crisp outer crust, with a light fluffy interior is unrivalled in my opinion. Toppings wise, the addition of fresh chilli to their spicy salami pizza would seal their position the best quality local pizza in my opinion. Until this addition is made, it remains a tie between Figli del Vesuvio and bravi ragazzi (whose Diavola pizza I freaking love because it has fresh chillis on it).
