I'd popped in for coffee and pastries just after 8am today and things seemed disorganised as they were running a bit behind.
I went back at lunch time to pick up a coffee for my husband and the 2 same baristas were there plus one other. Two are making drinks, and the one who made my morning coffee was collecting dirty crockery, 2 items at a time.
There are about 6 people waiting for their order and then the crockery collector looks up and sees another 4 of us wanting to place an order. Our orders are taken efficiently, but then one of the basritas disappears and the other goes to talk to the maintenance man half way through a customer's order. The third started topping up the already full tray of clean mugs...The second barista came back and got on with wiping the sink down...
The man next to me watched in disbelief as customers were being ignored and called over "is no one making coffee now?". He is blanked. I call over "Can someone make coffee please?" The barista who wasn't doing anything now she's finished counting mugs snaps at me "There are things GOING ON HERE!".
WOW said the man next to me. I replied to the employee "you should have let us know when you took our payment", and she snapped back "YOU can just WAIT!"
GASP from the man at my side... A coffee was slapped on the counter - "Do you think its yours? She's not making eye contact at all now" he said as another coffee was slid in his general direction.
Luckily they were for us and so we could finally leave and shake off that...
Read moreWhat I witnessed today in Starbucks plough lane was awful-?I witnessed a woman saying her coffee was awful and asked for another- the barista Stephanie begrudgingly gave her one with attitude. The woman went back to Stephanie( overheard policeman mention her name) because her replacement was awful too- Stephanie then gave her attitude again which triggered the woman who couldnât believe Stephanieâs bad customer service- the woman said she had mental health problems and Stephanie just laughed in her face which angered the woman immensely- is this how baristas behave if THEY have served bad coffe - twice and laugh at someone because of their mental disabilities- I am outraged and will be contacting Starbucks head office about this- Absolutely atrocious behaviour from the barista- I will not be coming back to this Starbucks any time soon until Stephanie is disciplined for her appalling behaviour-...
Read moreI visited this Starbucks location and had a mixed experience. At the entrance, thereâs a sign saying "Push the button to open the door," leading me to search for two minutes, only to discover the door is manual. This was confusing and unnecessary.
Inside, the service was slower than expected. For such a large coffee shop, only one staff member was handling orders, washing equipment, and making drinks. Meanwhile, two staff members in the back didnât seem to be assisting with the growing queue. As the first person in line, it still took five minutes to place my order and another five minutes to get my coffee.
On the positive side, the staff member named Marid was polite and respectful throughout, despite the clear understaffing issues. However, management really needs to step in and address these operational...
