The renovation is beautiful, and we had an incredible time having brunch on the reopening week, the food was delicious and the service was amazing. I really thought they stepped it up since before the renovation. The food came out quick, coffee was tasty and the service was attentive.
We then went for dinner in one of the huts this weekend, and unfortunately it was one of the worst experiences I’ve had out for dinner. The hut was cosy and the garden is a nice atmosphere, but that’s about the only positives I can give, everything that could have gone wrong.. did. My tonic came out partially used and flat, when challenged they knew which gin this was for so clearly was not an accident. The fries for the burgers all came out cold (however the burger was delicious), the “medium rare” steak came out about as well done as you could make it, lipstick mark on the wine glass, 40+ minute wait for a beer that never showed up which was ordered to be drank with the food. We reminded two people about the beer and one ignored us and walked away to clear glasses from other tables (and left our empty glasses on our table) and the other said they would go see where it was but never came back. Bearing in mind it was not busy, especially compared to how busy I have seen it in the past.
The manager was helpful and we did get replacements for food that was cold/cooked wrong and refunds. I don’t like to leave bad reviews usually, but main reason I have written this one is because the pub should be great, it is gorgeous and the renovation has added such a lovely vibe to the whole place, the morning staff were brilliant but the dinner experience was awful, we would have happily stayed for more drinks but we decided to go home and drink there instead because of the long wait times. Overall we felt awkward having to moan about almost everything, and I hate being that person, but it would be great for the issues to be fixed as it’s our main local and I want to love it - but these issues need to be sorted, especially since the prices are more...
Read moreedit this is 5 minutes from my house and cannot express how much we love this pub all the staff are amazing, we’ve done good, drinks, beer garden and even the huts outside too we love this place. Once again massive thank you to Isabella she’s an amazing host and always makes us feel like home. Ben also gave us a great time, super nice guy and we’ve seen him a few times out here.
The Leather Bottle in Earlsfield isn't just a pub, it's a haven for Sunday roasts. They boast what has to be the best beer garden in London, and the outside/inside restaurant area is a dream, especially on a sunny day when the whole place opens up. However, this popularity comes with a caveat: booking ahead is essential! The service here is fantastic. The staff are friendly and attentive, and our waitress Bella was a delight. She found us a great spot in the sun and was always happy to check in and see if we needed anything. Now, onto the main event: the food. We started with the beer sourdough and smoked anchovy and garlic butter. The bread was light and airy, and the butter was a revelation – salty and almost like a rich pate thanks to the anchovy. For the main course, I opted for the West Country beef rump. The roast potatoes were everything you dream of: crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. The beef itself was generously cut, tender, and beautifully complemented by a punchy horseradish sauce. The gravy deserves special mention – rich, meaty, and the perfect salty counterpoint to the rest of the dish. The portion size is perfect – it seems daunting at first, but you'll leave feeling satisfied, not stuffed. At £22, the roast is fantastic value. They also have a great drinks selection, including a good variety of wines. If you're looking for a recommendation, I can't recommend the Te Henga Pinot Noir enough for a hot summers day red. Overall, The Leather Bottle is a winner. Great atmosphere, fantastic service, and a Sunday roast that will leave you wanting more. Just remember...
Read moreI’m very disappointed with this place and I don’t recommend to celebrate any occasions here. I booked table 6 weeks in advance for group of people and I was promised long table on the back of the restaurant. I booked it for 6:45 but advised my guests to come at 7pm as I wanted to make sure everything is ready.
When I came at 6:45 nothing was prepared and I have to move tables and chairs myself. When I asked a member of the team to bring me cutlery and napkins she said she only has two hands. After moving all furniture and chairs and making things ready myself, I had to chase for menus and keep asking someone to take order from our table but everyone was too busy to serve us. My guests end up ordering on the bar because nobody was coming to take our order. I have to also chase for the food menu which I find it unacceptable.
The worse point was when I asked to serve the birthday cake for my partner. I saw waiters and I think her supervisor putting the candles on, when half people were away from the table. I asked if they could wait when everyone is here. The answer I received from Katie : “ listen I don’t have time for that we are too busy so Bring your people in” - make sure she doesn’t work on the day when you go there otherwise she will make sure to ruin your experience!!
Im not sure how this restaurant operate but I don’t control my guests going to toilet or having cigarette and I don’t follow where everyone is.
Absolutely disgusting! In the end we got the cake and I have to chase again for a knife to cut it ( they wouldn’t do it of course) and I was refused to get normal knife and they said they can only give me steak knife to cut a massive cake ! Cake was so big and trust me was a really struggle to cut it. I never seen anything ridiculous like that. I do not recommend this...
