One of the most captivating features of Valentines Mansion is undoubtedly its exquisite stained glass windows. Every seat in the room offered a great view of the couple exchanging their vows, ensuring that every guest felt connected and involved in the special moment.

The combination of the mansion's architectural beauty, the natural light filtering through the stained glass, and the thoughtful arrangement of flowers and seating created a picturesque setting for the wedding ceremony. It was a truly idyllic space that perfectly reflected the love and joy shared by the couple.
In addition to the captivating ceremony space, Valentines Mansion & Gardens offers picturesque gardens that provide an ideal backdrop for post-ceremony celebrations and photographs. The well-manicured gardens with their lush greenery, blooming flowers, and charming pathways added another layer of beauty to the overall wedding experience. Read moreDON’T GET MARRIED AT THIS VENUE!
As an experienced wedding photographer, I’ve never come across such rude staff and a restrictive venue - even at the height of the pandemic. The couple were ushered out of the venue quickly with no time for photographs as we were told that another couple were due to arrive. This would be understandable, but we continued to take pictures (to mark a newlywed’s special day) in the car park, and NO ONE arrived. So I see absolutely no reason why the couple, their friends and family were driven out so quickly.
As the photographer, I could only stay in one limited spot. I couldn’t take a picture of the newlywed signing the register which is a key moment. We were told to take pictures in the garden (while it was raining and the newlyweds are in their wedding attire) but the garden was locked.
I acknowledge that COVID has an impact and people are social distancing, but all guests were complying with government guidelines. (Bear in mind the rules have now been relaxed). So the venue went above and beyond these guidelines and were completely restrictive. They might as well not be open for business.
The scenery is nice, but the attitude of all the people that work there was appalling. Especially considering this is one of the most important days in a...
Read moreOne of my favourite parks. Really beautiful and peaceful, hoever, the mansion wa a let down. Redbridge seem to have invested a lot of money on publicity for Valentine's mansion, my only wish is that it lived up to the hype. Sadly for the most of the last century this building was converted to council offices - and it shows. You basically go from one empty room to another with sparse exhibits in each and no joined up thinking. In one bedroom (contains a bed and writing desk) there is a photo showing what the pencil marks the builder made - why not preserve it and cover with perspex? They have clear plastic chairs everywhere - why not have period pieces? There is currently a Belgian refugee exhibition in one room which has a lot of potential. It would have been great if this room didn't look like an office with a temporary hoarding with a piece of broken achitrave on one side. If only every room was like the kitchen area which has been perfectly preserved/recreated. Very sad and needs investment and exhibits. 4 stars for the park and 2 stars...
