What a funny experience I had in this place, where do I start. So, I went in ordered everything was normal, girl at the desk was training and provided a very smooth ordering process, absolutely no complaints with her. As I was waiting for my food a group of lads who came in stood up when the girl behind the counter said my name, I heard my name listened to what the order was strangely the guy confirmed (Even though it was mine). I then went to the desk ask as that order was mine and in this time the lads had gone. Quite clear what had happened, so I decided to see if they would acknowledge that they gave away my food, they did not. I then asked the guy behind the counter whats happening with my food and he said 'its just coming', again not acknowledging they gave my food away. I then waited for another 20 mins and my food arrived. It was clear to see on the receipt that they gave me initially had the time 17:21and the second receipt attached to my bag said 17:43, I left the restaurant just after 6. The funniest thing of all is that I wouldn't care about what happened, as mistakes happen in restaurants and its naturally understandably as the group of lads claimed my food, the girl behind the counter would be non the wiser. The reason why this was so bad as for me a simple 'Really sorry, theres been an accident we have given your food to another customer' I would've said no problem and thought they might of offered me a free drink to apologise(they didn't). The worst thing about me writing this paragraph is the food was pretty decent. Wont be...

At 18.53 on Friday 31st July, I placed an order for takeaway and was told it would be ready in thirty minutes. When I arrived to collect the order there was a queue of people, some waiting to collect their orders others placing orders and around ten Deliveroo drivers waiting to collect their orders.

After waiting for a further thirty minutes in the shop I became impatient and wanted to cancel my order. By this time the same Deliveroo drivers were still waiting for their orders and also becoming impatient shouting the names of the clients they were collecting for. The staff who were serving and getting the orders ready were abandoning the clients they were serving and were answering the phone taking more orders.

Two of the three items I ordered had been ready for a while (which were getting cold on the side ) while the third item was being cooked! As I was asking for my order to be cancelled it happened to be ready so I took it and left the shop.

Needless to say when I got home the order was incorrect. I ordered three plain gyros(without sauce) and a pot of tzatziki. It was the tzatziki that was missing. So after all that waiting we had three dry gyros, two of them cold for dinner. They are trying to operate an eat in restaurant, a takeaway service and a Deliveroo service. From my experience and from, what I witnessed they are not organised enough to...

Update: food arrived after 1 hour 50 minutes after ordering and was cold and wasnt cooked properly! The pork was pink inside as well as the sheftalia and the bana was still slimy and stretchy.(cant add pics or cant find how). The chicken was luckily cooked. The chips were ridiculously salty and were basically inedible and i love salt! Ordered 5 dips they sent 8 maybe this was their poor way of apologising but they didnt even sent the ones i ordered and want the most. I order 3 garlic got none! Ordered 1 chilli got 4 got some random 3 small pots of tzatziki. So £30+ for 2 cold kebab and chips, inedible food which you wait nearly 2 hours for is unacceptable and no value for customers after be lied to after an hour and 15 minutes they told me it was in the way! So thank you a lot going greek for wasting my time and money! Waiting for some food we can actually eat now!

Original message: Food decent ordered from many times before. But order at 8.01pm and am still waiting for my food called and 9.15pm and was food my food on the way but was lied to as still waiting and can track food through app. Unacceptable behaviour and no value for customer. It is now 9.40pm and still waiting! Pretty sure i will not be ordering from them again and giving them anymore of my money and advise others...

Where do I start... I haven't written a review in some time but after spending 3 hour at Going Greek, I had to write one. What a great place to eat. The food was absolutely amazing and the service just as good. Charlie really looked after us as a group of 5 and Sophia was absolutely brilliant running around making sure we had all that we needed. The food was so good. The pork kebab was probably the best I have ever eaten. The portions were big as well. We had starters, mains and dessert between us. All trying some of every dish. Not a bad word to say about any of them. Absolutely can't go wrong here. The atmosphere was buzzing and the take aways were flying out the door. Definitely coming back and the 4 other guys I was with all said the same. Take away or eat in, you won't be disappointed. Highly recommend Going Greek.

Every time I am in Winchmore Hill I have to go to Going Greek. The greek sausage, (LOUKANIKA), sharer are some of the best sausages I have ever tasted. A defo must try! My fav on the menu is the Lamb Gyros. The source in this gyros is INSANE! Instead of chips, try their bulgur wheat. It is very flavoursome and not oily at all unlike some other places. It's a very good alternative to chips I find. Their tarama tastes quite creamy and is not the best I have had, but I don't hate it. Service isn't fast but it is well so worth the wait.

After ordering from this place, i had to go and eat in to get the real feel for this place (Winchmore hill). The staff are lovely and all covid compliant. The food is amazing, we ordered a souvlaki and geros and the flavours were gorgeous. The restaurant is not very big and has a outside seating area as well. I had missed having a great salad and they brought Greece to my table. To finish things off their ferrero pie is yum (enough to share). I would highly recommend this please if you are looking for delicious greek food.
